One of the reason for the Christian cult of death, they have been predicting his return for the last 2,000 years, remember we are in 'end times', again.
Do these people not realise how sick they look?

Friend How come people try so hard to try to twist a scripture around, Look at Verse 28 again Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom. Now Friend, do you know really what Jesus is saying, No, First of all, (NOW LISTERN) where is the kingdom of God, The Bible says the kingdom of God is within us, So when Christ rose fom the dead, He, in his first step of redemption, Showed himself to his Apostles, Now There is one thing to look at, remember he was only dead 3 days, And when he ascened to glory, God sent back the Holy Ghost, The same one that also dwell in Jesus, But it came to us with measure. No Jesus is not running late, The bible also says in the endtime people will say where is the coming of Christ since their fathers have died off, Jesus will be right on time. And you won't even know he came, unless you are a true Born Again Christian

After His death, Jesus appeared to up to 500 people, most likely some of them heard Him say the words you quoted.
These people than saw Jesus after His resurrection not as the humble son of man, but the risen Son of God, who promised that when He returns at the end of the Great Tribulation, He will be coming in all His glory.
So those who saw Jesus after His resurrection and before His ascension, saw Him "coming in His kingdom" in a greater way than before, and we may see Him coming in the full glory and power of His kingdom.

I can see your knowledge of the word is very, very limited. Jesus was referring to his disciples and as he said "some of you..." This was fulfilled at the mount of transfiguration with Peter, James and John (17:1-3). Others say it occured on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) the beginning of Christ Church. In either case, certain disciples were eye witnesses. But for your sake I hope it isn't so, because you still have time to repent before he returns. Love, be bless.

The Son of Man returned to witness the destruction of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple in 70 AD, while some of his apostles were indeed still alive.
This was just punishment for the people who failed to recognize him when he came the first time, and it was truly the end of the "world" for traditional Judaism, at the hands of the very same Romans whom they had used to crucify Christ.
The fulfillment of this prophecy, as it pertains to the rest of the world, is yet to come.

I was confused too. Here is what I found. I'm curious what you think about it:
What is Matthew 16:28 talking about? Does it contradict itself?
A: Matthew 16:28 states, "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." Parallel passages are found in Mark 9:1 and Luke 9:27. The key is found in what immediately follows each of these verses. Jesus calls Peter, James, and John, takes them up to a high mountain and is transfigured before them while Moses and Elijah come down to discuss His coming death. Consider the things that point to this being the event Jesus referred to in Matthew 16:28.
Jesus "was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light" (Matthew 17:2). This matches the glorified appearance of Christ in Revelation 1:13-18 where "his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength" (Revelation 1:16).
Of Moses and Elijah, the Bible says that they "appeared in glory" (Luke 9:31). They did not just appear in a natural way but "in glory." Colossians 3:4 states, "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." This points directly to the coming of Christ in glory (Matthew 24:30).
When the disciples awoke, they looked at Christ and "saw his glory" (Luke 9:32). This is a very powerful statement. They saw the glorified Christ. They saw Him as King of Kings.
A cloud overshadowed them and the Father said, "This is my beloved Son: hear him" (Luke 9:34-35). This too points to the presence and glory of God in fullness and power.
Jesus told them not to tell of the vision until He had risen from the dead (Matthew 17:9). Ths vision was not for the time that Jesus walked on the earth before His crucifixion. It was a glimpse of His coming kingdom.
Peter, James, and John received a vision of the future kingdom and glory of Christ. They saw Him coming in His kingdom. It was to this event that Peter referred when he said, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount." (2Peter 1:16-18). These three men were eyewitnesses of the majesty of "the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." What a glorious opportunity they had! What a glorious testimony they give! Till He comes, Pastor David Reagan

Read your bible. Things have to happen before Jesus comes back with GOD at his side. You must understand that time is of no essense in GOD's eyes. The book of Revelations is not wrong and it's right on track as it should be. Stop trying to rush things as they will unfold as GOD intended. Besides, you need to be careful due to the fact we are all going to be judged when he comes back. Good luck and I'll pray for your soul.

There was someone a while back who posted that bible thumpers actually had lower iqs. He actually had websites with studies and everything. Looking at these answers, I just had to say that.
I don't interpret that passage as a second coming. That could have been for his resurrection.

Looks like everybody has criticized you all your life. Well I understand where your insecure question comes from.
It is not what we don't understand in the Bible that bothers us. So I wish someday you find the ability to look beyond what you see and understand the deeper meaning that could make you feel good about yourself.
