Ok first of all think about this everybody knows there is racism in this world and quite possibly always will be but there is obviously a reason for it. (This is in no way ment to offend anyone just for the record sodont write that i am racist and all that crap) ok check it out... why are their sterotypes on people...example all blacks are thugs who wear their pants too low and drink 40s from their porch and if you see them at night and your alone go a different direction and they all wear cloths that are way to big on them and cant shut up and they have to be loud all the time. ect. now why is that perseption there... because we still see it and that will never go away. i guess the best way to put it is if anybody calls somebody predudice for saying something regurding an ethnic group (or sex) think about why.. the simple answer is not because we are racist or sterotypical it because that is what we see still. To end racism everybody will need to stop being what they are...

and is that what we really want? I highly doubt it because then individuality is gone. Racism and sterotyps are not that bad when you think about it. It makes our culture and society what it is . It shaped who we are as people.

ok dani colegirls but why do you have that perception... because it does still exist you would never have thought that unless you saw it either first hand or depicted in a movie

elaeblue i am very sorry to disappoint you but you are incorrect on soooo many differernt levels I am a 25 year old man whom just got out of the military i have a job i wear normal cloths (namebrand is of no importance to me) i drive a 1989 jeep (no i dont consider it a sports car lol) i work full time and go to school at night (and yes it is a university) but you see you just judged me on way because that is what you perceived of me. As i said we are all racist weather we like it or not. Thanks for emphasizing my point!

no #1 mom-you are missing the whole point i know this. my point is that in movies that is a lot of how they are depicted. What i was giving was an example. i could have used latinos, asians, white or any ethnic group. Ma'am you missed the point of what i was tring to say.

You raise an excellent point! where i live its is 50% black, and on the local news you are always seeing a black person holding up gas stations and shooting people, so i'll admit when i'm in my car at a stop light and i see a black guy wearing "thug" clothes i do lock my doors because of what i hear and see, i mean you gotta be safe then sorry, i would hate to be mugged or hurt because i didn't want to offend anyone, i mean wouldn't that be pretty stupid of me since i do watch the news and see who the obvious criminals are in my town, i don't mean that all black people are like this but i do think the black community needs to fight this stereotype, but it seems like many of them embrace it, especially the young people

There is a big difference between pointing out cultural differences and racism. Yes, we see some blacks wear their pants too low and drink 40's from the porch or whatever, but I've seen many, many whites the same way. It has nothing to do with color, it has to do more with a person's economic state. For every black ghetto in America, there is also a Mexican ghetto or a white ghetto, which we commonly refer to as 'trailer parks.' Racism is never good and we don't need it. Constantly pointing out someone's way of living like it is bad and needs to change makes no sense.

If you want an answer supported by historical facts about racial prejudice and conflict, look at South Africa's emergence from its dark past.

The policy of apartheid made the country an international pariah because the minority white government refused to enfranchise the black majority.

P.W. Botha, who died a few days ago, had become a symbol of apartheid. He relented under international pressure led by the US. Eventually, he opened a dialog with ANC (African National Congress). Botha realized that the change had to come. Finally, it was Botha's successor, F. W. de Klerk who released Nelson Mandela.

Look at the way South Africa has gained acceptance in the international community. It is a living example of a prospering country in the African continent where most of the smaller nations are struggling in poverty.

America's own savior was the great American president, Abraham Lincoln.

Yes, there is racism in the world an prolly always will be. Just like there will always be wars. Does that make it right?? NO . NO . NO. Remember this, Martin Luther King said it best... Free at last, Free at last , Thank god almighty we are free at last. If not for people like Martin Luther King Africian American's would still be at ''the back of the bus, an drinking from separate water fountains''. If this is right, then you have learned nothing from history.

Also think of Adolph Hitler. He wanted a race of Blonde haired, blue eyed Germans an if you were not that then you were not to live.. Do you beleive that Hitler was right in wipin out {{ or attemptin to wipe out entire races because they were different }}.. Learn from history an rid the world of racism...

Look at the terrorism that is used in the name of religion. That's a crock. Terrorism is used to wipe out anyone or anything that does not have the same beleif system an that is just plain WRONG

Act 10: 34 - 35 - ...."God is not partial for any man from any nation who WORKS righteousness is acceptable to Him"...

If that's the case, humans are certainly not imitating God or his Son.

Why does anyone face racism? Duh...it's just not going to go away when you have countries such as America constantly playing their sickening tone.

Personally, I have given up on all whites...as they are always topping the list of hate and bigotry and they use their positions to hurt people of color. I now use my position to hurt them and they don't like it, but they get angry and try to "pack up" with other bigots like them.

Racism...blah..blah..blah...it... old and tired but the real sickening ones who constantly perpetuate it won't stop until Armageddon destroys them. That time is not far off. Until that time, I just exist with 'em but I don't try to be too social or friendly because they are a cursed race (leoprosy) and they cannot be trusted...like a diseased frog or something.

Be careful and don't get too close because if you were a cursed race also, I guess you'd have a lot of evil and hate within you and you wouldn't behave yourself fairly. Whites think they run everything and thing is, they do not and this type of "we can" and you cannot illness keeps them in hot water constantly so they lie when they are confronted with their evil ways.

Many times they don't even realize how evil they are but then when they do, they get mad and defensive and it turns into "I just don't care I'm white and I can do this" type sickness. That's when they really need to be eliminated by God, but God has his own time.

As far as interacting with them, I don't really care to...I don't associate with 'em much as they don't have goodness in their hearts and they always lie and cause major problems everywhere.

The world hates America mostly because of them and they group us all in the same bag. If they only knew how much many of us hate them for the horrific things they do on a daily basis and again they use their jobs to hurt people and laugh and have beers over their evil ways.

What does God have to say about that? Well take a look:

Psalms 37: 12 - The wicked one is plotting against the righteous one,
And at him he is grinding his teeth.

13 Jehovah himself will laugh at him,
For he certainly sees that his day will come.

Psalms 37: 8 - Let anger alone and leave rage;
Do not show yourself heated up only to do evil.

9 For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

Nice ending for the good people soon, so just exist and don't get too close to them...they will backstab you every time.

It is not blacks that wear the pants to low. It is teens and adults (who don't want to be looked as un hip) that wear their pants too low. It is not blacks that sit on their porch and drink 40s' it is depressed, lonely, or alcoholics that sit on their porch and drink 40s'. It is not blacks that wear their clothes too big. It is people who think they are fat and want to hide it or people who just think it is cool. It is not blacks that can't shut up and/or loud all the time. It is people who think they have to be heard and make sure that they are heard. I am a white mother with two daughters and a husband, who are also white. I have nothing against black, white, short, tall, skinny, fat, smart, or dumb. I will say though that I guess you could call me racist, because I do have something against people who don't know the facts!!!!!!

Well you might be right because my perception of you is that you are a white, middle class, young man who probably wears Aeropostale and Gap clothes, goes to a almost all white school or if in university(doubtful) in a almost all white program. You probably drive a small car that you think of as a sport car. You have forgotten any manners your parents taught you and use **** as an adjective. But I m not being racist or anything.

OMG! and OMJ!

I'm glad this is America and you are entitled to your opinion. I on the other hand am a unemployed pot-smoking white guy dating a black cop who works 3 other jobs including city council. I have no clue what you are talking about. I live in one of America's worst neighborhoods according to the government. 30% of San Francisco's crime. I have never had a problem even alone late at night. Fear allows others, anyone in fact, to control you. You see what you want to see always. The human mind is such a powerful thing that it can shape are realities and perceptions based on our internal desires...See the world as you wish. I see a lot of hard working black women in business suits everyday on the streets of S.F. I also see crack hears with no teeth of every single race, but mostly white and then black. Those are just my perceptions. I have a black friend who is a Neuroscience major at Cal Tech or U.C. Berkeley as it is better known. For the record.
Colin Powell only drinks 40's in saggy pants on his days off. Maybe you aren't talking about what you see in real life, but what you see on T.V. which is mostly fiction. The phrase "unidentified black male" or "Iraqi Insurgent" is propoganda. My Cop Boyfriend says a lot of those black males are from a number of different races, but witness are equally quick to judge.

Open your eyes, your living in the media world of lies.
Everybody is HUMAN. We all have problems and positives.
You may indeed be correct, but then people might stereotype you as a white ignorant hick biggot who can't spell. Are they correct? I think you are a compassionate person who can grow past broad assumptions about millions of people based on a handful of observations. How many black people do you know personally by name? I doubt it even comes close to a million which would be 3% of the US and .001% of the world?

Again, I'm not saying you're racist, but your idea is, in fact, racism defined. I have been to Bangladesh, Venezeula, Cameroon, Europe, and all over North America and I have nothing to aid your arguement.

those who make racist comments like that are stupid and that i love stupid people because they're really uncomplicated to triumph over and are really uncomplicated to regulate. probability is, they're racist because no one loves them and they understand it so that they hate the international- as in each and every man or woman- no longer only a particular coloration. White those who say that basically elect a deluded reassurance that they are better effective because they understand they're no longer. Like my chum develop into declaring how in Africa, they imagine blonds are the optimal form of elegance and he or she'd be evaluate better than my ex (my ex develop into black) and my chum had a aspect for me so she hated my ex. i develop into like... "look, lesbian... they'd be black yet they're no longer blind. i do not care when you're on the moon, there is not any way you're better than her. warm is warm." bypass ask any suited minority in the journey that they sense oppressed, I wager maximum of them will say no or in the journey that they say certain, they're mendacity and also you may want to tell because they're no longer raging.

I do not agree with you. If that were true, then all black women would be dating men in jail, having two kids by three different guy, loud, rude, always have attitude, and are on welfare. These are all not true. Just like most sterrotypes out there
