it seems like every advert, programme and poster is about looks and having the perfect body. i think that it's making us and children focus too much on our looks when we should be thinking about our personality. what do you think?

Everybody lives on a street in a city
Or a village or a town for what it's worth.
And they're all inside a country which is part of a continent
That sits upon a planet known as Earth.
And the Earth is a ball full of oceans and some mountains
Which is out there spinning silently in space.
And living on that Earth are the plants and the animals
And also the entire human race.

It's a great big universe
And we're all really puny
We're just tiny little specks
About the size of Mickey Rooney.
It's big and black and inky
And we are small and dinky
It's a big universe and we're not.

And we're part of a vast interplanetary system
Stretching seven hundred billion miles long.
With nine planets and a sun; we think the Earth's the only one
That has life on it, although we could be wrong.
Across the interstellar voids are a billion asteroids
Including meteors and Halley's Comet too.
And there's over fifty moons floating out there like balloons
In a panoramic trillion-mile view.

And still it's all a speck amid a hundred billion stars
In a galaxy we call the Milky Way.
It's sixty thousand trillion miles from one end to the other
And still that's just a fraction of the way.
'Cause there's a hundred billion galaxies that stretch across the sky
Filled with constellations, planets, moons and stars.
And still the universe extends to a place that never ends
Which is maybe just inside a little jar!

It's a great big universe
And we're all really puny
We're just tiny little specks
About the size of Mickey Rooney.
*Though we don't know how it got here
*We're an important part here
*It's a big universe and it's ours!

My boyfriend was making fun of me because I can't do anything really girly. Like cook or do my own hair, both of which he can do. I never really had a prominent female figure in my life, I mean my mom's great but she's pretty much a straight butch. As in she acts like a man in every way except her sexual prefrences. So I'm 18 and I still can't do braids or make something more complicated than mac and cheese.

I always get that confused as I'm not religious.. in fact who is the ArchAngel Gabriel AND THE SECOND PART OF THE QUESTION IS: If Satan is evil isn't he responsible for all of the problems of this world or is it man.... ? I have heard religious people saying that man is in control of his own fate and if that is the case.. where does Satan fit into all of this??

There are many people who accept Jesus as a teacher, but not a messiah. Who teaches that Jesus was a teacher, and not God?

So my friend just found out he's gay. There are few gay guys at school, open ones at least. He's lonely and needs help, and doesn't know how to find someone. I'm supposed to help him, but I don't really know how to. I don't know what to tell him, other than it'll be okay and he won't be alone for the rest of his life. Advice?

Im talking about people who take all of it literally. Any defensive answers mean that you probably didn't read the previous line.

Many people eat out on Thanksgiving, including myself (closest relatives several states away!). Do you see this as diminishing the meaning and significance of Thanksgiving?

My sisters are twins and they are starting to attend many bat mitzvahs. When i was younger i received either $36 or $50 from all of my friends at my bat mitzvah and my mom gave out the same amount to my friends. Now my sisters are starting to go to bat mitzvahs except my mom is having trouble because there are two of them. When they attend these bat mitvzahs how much should they give? Give as if it were two seperate children is a lot of money!

P.S. my sisters bat mitzvah isn't for another year so my mom can't give out presents based on how much they received from the person because there bat mitzvah is last.
