I think the bigger question is how many people were praying for Ted Haggard, and how he was responding to what God was trying to tell Haggard to do or not to do. Check out my blog below for an entry I just wrote about Haggard.

God gave us free will. The people following Ted Haggard are doing so by their own choice.

This preacher wasn’t God. He was merely a man as fallible as the rest of us.
The problem comes when believers start assigning more importance to the messenger than the message. Give anybody too much power and they are likely to think they can get away with anything.
So perhaps God was perfectly happy to stay out of the mess and let things unfold as they did, just as a little reminder to all believers that the message matters far more than the messenger. Hypocrites generally get what they deserve if given enough time.

Asker: God does exist. A persons actions does not stop God from existing. God is Haggard so do not blame the Almighty due to Haggard. Haggard made a mistake.

Well John the key phrase is free will. Everybody has it and if some choose to use it by following a man instead of following God then it is not God's fault. Jesus said there would be many false preachers, teachers and prophets. Before you can be called a christian you must learn to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

People create their leaders, even Osama Bin Ladin behaves a certain way so his people will follow him. If he changes too drastically from what they expect, they will find a new leader who better represents what they want to follow.
We blame the leader because the fish always stinks from the head down. But the tail of the rotten fish still follows the head.

Haggard is just human like everyone else. He is tempted by Satan, like everyone else, but even moreso because the Enemy knows he can confuse many Christians into non-belief by seeing a church leader fall victim to temptation. This is one of many deceits Satan chooses to use. The true born again believer won't be swayed by this and will continue to trust in the Lord in ALL things.
Note to JEN:
If Christians are weak minded, then hell is full of strong minded souls.

GOD didn't have anything to do with that Evil and Wickedness, satan did.
GOD gave those People a Free-Will, THEY chose to follow what they Followed.
I do not know this guy or anything about him BEFOR this happened.
But I have been Studying Spiritual Laws for Years.
You Reap what you Sow.
I have heard he gave a lot of People Hell!
You Reap what you Sow.
You don't get away with a Thing.
BUT, you can use that Law for GOOD!
Sow GOOD Reap GOOD.
And thats the Way it is, November the 5th, 2006---you'll have to Wait for the Rest of the Story, after the Trial?

Free will. He lets us decide. Unfortunately people place too much importance on preachers, pastors, priests and not enough on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.
But you can rest assured all will be exposed. This might be a good lesson to followers everywhere to re evaluate the organized religious affiliation they have.
