I am being forced to go to Church by my parents, and I don't want to go, because I don't feel like I get anything out of it. I have been going to Church my whole life, and I have always felt this way. Whenever don't go to Church with my parents, they yell at me and punish me. I've tried telling them that my beliefs are different than theirs, but they still insist on me going to church. What should I do to keep them from punishing me whenever I don't go to Church?

There are so may so-called" psychics" out there and that a lot of money is made from it. A majority of it is quack (i.e. lottery numbers). However, I do have a couple of questions that would put me at ease:
1.Is there a such thing have having that "ability" of having that 6th sense?
2. Who does one go to to determine or "diagnose" that one has that "gift" or "ability"?
3..How do people who truly get posses that talent, put it to "proper" use?

*Since my late teens, I have occasional dreams or visions in which many events happened accurately. Lately, I have been more dreams and experiences and certain events have happended weeks or months later.

Shouting "Get the n----r cop!" a crowd of Halloween hooligans surrounded a black detective in Queens - prompting the officer and two other Finest to swing their nightsticks at the attackers, police said yesterday.

Patrick Rich - one of several teens who allegedly ignited the melee Tuesday afternoon by throwing eggs at the cops' unmarked car - jumped onto the back of Detective Marques Stewart during the fracas, police said.

Stewart, who is black, hit Rich with his nightstick to defend himself, police said, outraging the 17-year-old's nearby mother.

"F--- you, n----r," Patricia Rich allegedly screamed at Stewart, drawing a crowd of about 100 people, who surrounded the detective, a sergeant and another cop on Cross Bay Blvd. near W. 10th Road in Broad Channel.

The plainclothes cops had gotten out of their unmarked car at 4:40 p.m. after the vehicle was pelted with eggs, police said.

The officers, all from the 100th Precinct anti-crime unit, pulled their nightsticks after the crowd refused to disperse and threw rocks and eggs at them while yelling racial slurs, police said.

Cops said video footage taken from four surveillance cameras showed the police did nothing wrong. "The video showed the police establishing order with a disorderly crowd," said NYPD Assistant Chief Mi chael Collins. "It did not show any misconduct on the \[part of the\] police officers."

Patrick Rich, who allegedly attempted to escape cops by wading into Jamaica Bay; his mother; a cousin, Robert Glade, 22, and 16-year-old Nicholas Stack all maintained their innocence at their arraignment in Queens Criminal Court last night.

Patrick Rich was held in lieu of $3,500 bail, $1,000 of which related to his failure to appear for a court hearing on an assault that occurred in Broad Channel on St. Patrick's Day.

Although he gave no details, Assistant District Attorney Mario Karonis told the court, "We find certain similarities between the two cases."

Earlier, Glade's mother, Margaret, insisted the clash with cops had nothing to do with race.

"I went to get a slice of pizza and when I came out I saw this cop. He's got my sister by her hair and he's whacking my sister," said Margaret Glade, who is Patricia Rich's sister.

Robert Glade, who allegedly yelled racial slurs at the cops to incite the crowd, was freed on $1,000 bail. Stack, who's accused of punching Stewart, and Patricia Rich, who was charged with interfering with her son's arrest, were released on their own recognizance. All are to appear at a hearing Nov. 13.

Karonis said all aspects of the case were still being investigated, adding charges against the four defendants might be upgraded.

Do you think it impinges upon a person's private life or should the general public be made aware of how many people there are who are gay and feel the need to hide it because of intolerance?

Imagine for a moment that you might be wrong - that there is no God. Nothing happens for a reason, nothing is planned out ahead of time.

Is it still wrong to have an abortion in extreme cases like incest, rape, and when it would kill the mother to have the child? There is no God to send this future child, no God to have 'planned' the rape or incest that created it. It was just the action of a horrible person, and will result in the suffering of a woman or girl.

And don't give me the 'adoption, not abortion' crap - some of you don't seem to realize that adoption still involves HAVING the child, carrying it for 9 months, going through the hell of labor, missing school and work and who knows what else.

If there is no God, how can you say that a child should have to have a child?

And people would definately ask questions because I come from a Muslim country. But I just want a silver plain cross neclace! Is this very very absurd? What do you think??

I don't understand why some women wear head coverings in churches. Doesn't the bible say her hair is her covering? So why do some churches think that women need to wear them? I'm confused on this issue. I'm a christian and the church I go to now has the women do that. I think me and one other lady are the only ones that dont. Am I missing something in the bible that requires this?

Would you like it if Yahoo Answers was to break down R&S into different religions.

Then a person could ask questions expecting to get answers based on who their asking. Plus you'd get better answers to look through instead of half dumb and half smart answers.

But where would they put atheist because they don't believe in anything. I guess they could have one called nonbelievers even though that doesn't really make sense.
