Definitely not. Thank you for your service!! (Both of you.) We put up our tree every Thanksgiving, and if you have to fudge the date a little because of deployment, so be it. For what it's worth, we're celebrating our anniversary about two weeks late because a friend died. What are dates but numbers anyway? Do your thing. And thank you again for your sacrifice :) pS I can't believe someone actually gave some of these answers (including mine which was genuine and heart felt) a thumbs down. Most of them were brillant, and the thumbs down creep is just weird and mean. Down voting people who are serving the country or whose friends have died?! OMG. What a f**ktard ...

I think the longer the tree is up, the less power it has. I put mine up on Christmas Eve like they did in Dickens "A Christmas Carol" and keep it up for the Twelve Days of Christmas. When you put it up on Christmas Eve it feels really magical and you really feel you're entering that special world of Christmas, it's like saying "this is it, now it's really Christmas".

I don't think so.
One year we put ours up on Halloween but to be honest it ruined the season that was WY too early. LOL
We are putting up ours Nov17th or something like that.
It's how you feel, Christmas is only once a year, I say ENJOY!!!!
Merry Early Christmas to you.

I would never ever put the tree up before Thansgiving. I'd rather it was Dec st or after.

If it's a live tree -YES! It'll never make it. If it's fake - hey, man, do what makes you happy. I put mine up at Thanksgiving.
