There are so may so-called" psychics" out there and that a lot of money is made from it. A majority of it is quack (i.e. lottery numbers). However, I do have a couple of questions that would put me at ease:
1.Is there a such thing have having that "ability" of having that 6th sense?
2. Who does one go to to determine or "diagnose" that one has that "gift" or "ability"?
3..How do people who truly get posses that talent, put it to "proper" use?

*Since my late teens, I have occasional dreams or visions in which many events happened accurately. Lately, I have been more dreams and experiences and certain events have happended weeks or months later.

There is no such thing as a "psychic ability". These incidents come in two kinds: (1) deliberate scams, and (2) people who are sufficiently unaware of the world around them that they honestly believe that they have powers.

If you would like to diagnose your ability, you should contact James Randi (you can google him), and have him set up a test. He will set up a situation that will demonstrate that you do not have the powers you might think that you have.

Your dream experiences do not imply any special ability.

Yes, there are senses beyond the traditional five "body" senses, i.e. touch, hearing, vision, taste, and smell.

My name for the main "sixth sense" is "remote perception", and there is just too much evidence that it exists to ignore. Examples of this talent/abiity?

1. When twins or family members or even close friends many miles separate will know the precise instant that something traumatic has occurred.

2. Some of the psychics whom have been confirmed as being very accurate and helpful to police often see and describe places they have never been, or even crime details known to the police but no one else. This cannot happen without "remote perception.

3. Some individuals (myself included) are so fully intuitive that we can accurately see where a person's life has come from, is presently at, and where it is currently going or may go if given better opportunities, etc. I can only describe the experience as being like a "remote viewer" having travelled critical parts of that person's life journey with them, and looking forward from their own perceptions, not mine.

I know of a few more types of remote perceptions that are less people oriented, by the way.

I do not know of anyone you can go to determine whether or not you have that specific gift or simillar abilities. As yet there just isn't a scientific method of testing this phenomenon that can be documented -- even with the above known facts. Incidentally, part of your question (that as you seem to have true dreams) may be an indicator that you have abilities not described by the five regular senses, by the way.

Finally, a person with that talent will put it to proper use not for money, but for the betterment of our world. Paradoxically it seems like people who have a gift but seek to profit from it almost invariably lose the gift within a short time later.

By the way, Allisonh Dubois (the psychic the TV show "Medium is based on) has her own web site, you may enjoy further reading starting at the URL below, especially her editorial page, and her husband (the engineer) 's blog.

The key issue is that some people do have a greater sensitivity to the subtle energies of thought, but if you try to "market" the skill to the public, you are pretending to have much more control of it than you probably do. You get your impressions of things without any real conscious control of it: "occasional dreams...certain events...weeks or months later."
I have to suppose that any psychic who takes money and attempts to do psychic stuff on a custom-ordered basis is probably a fake. It would be very rare for a person to have that much control of his or her psychic abilities.
It is sometimes real. If you have it, you know. The proper use is to recognize it and don't try to make it into a plaything or a marketable skill. Just see what it is trying to show you and help people with what you know when it is appropriate to help.
Meditating helps you develop and control it, but only if it's a talent you already have.
I would stay away from the ususal forms of divination like card reading, palm reading, crystal ball gazing and so on. That just cheapens your natural abilities and makes you less credible to people who know the truth of these matters.

Well, I'm very science based, so I don't see it as a..."sense" per se.

I do think some people are very finely tuned to being able to "read" others, however. I think they have an innate ability (which they can improve on with work) to watch another's body language to tell what is going on. A good example might be how dogs can hear pitches humans can't hear or sense that an earthquake is about to happen. Dog's aren't "psychic" but they are picking up on subtle changes in the enviroment. I think there are people that can pick up on these very subtle changes too.

How do put it to "proper" use? I would suggest getting a job in social services. Someone with this kind of ability would be fantastic working with troubled children.

I just have the ability to sense presences around me i have had dreams that have come true, and i have had feelings of deja vue after the fact

I think there are such talents, most of us have a little and can't control them very well. Sometimes you can get to understand them a bit better with meditation and such. Most of the people that have those talents to a larger degree don't use them for monetary gain. If you are having these events i would start keeping a diary of dreams, then when one did happen later you can start putting them together and maybe start to control them more..

I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense. The Psychic Sense.

Yes...We all posess certain gifts that make us "special" and some a re considered of the "psychic" or the Metaphysics. Meta means "beyond". My dad was a healer though not religious. He could stop people from bleeding. He would never take money for it even though he was sometimes called at night (accidents) or at the local hospital to stop internal bleeding in some accident victims. It was a necessary talent at one time when there were no doctors, My neighbour could buy warts. He would give you .05 cents and your wart would disappear. Sometimes laters when you weren't thinking about it. I can heal warts but I use a "polato"...It even heals "planter's warts" and multiple warts. Not the potato is not "psychic" healing but the buying it for .05 cents is.

Where I live, I just drilled a well and the water witcher came and witched two sites for me using a modified fishing rod and a copper tie and copper pendulum. He would not take money, even to give as charity in his name. My wife and I followed him around and later, my wife saw in meditation a large white form at one site so we drilled there. He had said that we would hit 5-7 gallons per minute at 86 feet depth and that is where we hit and in the exact amount which has now increased as the channels have become larger.

Now he said that he does not hit right all the time and so the assistance of the people involved is sometimes necessary. We believed in him so when the drilling rig came over, I made sure that the drill was perfectly level (perpendiculat). Apparently that is one of the reasons for the misses, Another reason for his misses was the metric versus feet counting. His information comes in "units" and when there is a change in the units from metres to feet in the society of the people involved, the results are skewed.

My dad's gift came from his aunt and had to go from male to female to male etc..Why ?? Tradition? I don't know..

These gift were very common before the advent of the age of "reason" and logic" but is now resurging as we near a higher logic that includes the "intuitive".

I can't tell you where to go to confirm you gifts and the use of it.

I have a effect on electromagnetic frequencies and have had many experiences with Magnetic and electrical equiment that are too lengthy to list or get into but I just wanted to confirm that yes,,,they do exist and we all have it. Some as you or my dad, control it more than others. For myself, I think that my "intellect" and logic are a hindrance on my controlling my sensitivity to these 'fields" they are more prevalent when I am "stressed"...so I don't pursue it exept to marvel when it happens...And it happens often...

Everyone who knows me knows about it...It's a joke among us...

The "call Shirley Maclean, it's happening again" is a common comment at our place...lol

Putting it to good use is subjective...My dad and others have always told me that to sell it is to lose it a little bit at a time....
But that could be a "religious" or a tradition that is involved with "guilt"....The Churches are always using guilt to stop these "psychic" gifts as they take the authority away from the Churches.

It has been said that all people possess the ability to use the 2nd sight or 6th sense if you will. Most people just are not attuned to it. Many Christians say that it is a sign of the devil but if you read the scriptures there are many prophetesses and such who had visions that were looked up to in society. Even Joseph was given the ability to interpret dreams through God. I assume if you have such a power at your fingertips that you give it over to God to use as is proper and befitting to his needs.

very intriguing, I'm a believer however am additionally a skeptic. I have no idea a lot approximately it, and to inform you the reality, it is not a magical undertaking. The brain appears to be a cause. I am no longer announcing it is not for truly, however just like the radio, you mentioned it used to be tuning to different stations.Ihink that may occur via the automobile itself, or the locks itself might react to technical cause. You can ask a automobile mechanic or some thing. As to your daughter, did you inform approximately her grandfather? I wager she has visible his image correct? It is feasible, that individuals thinks rough on some thing and turns into truly to us. Either that of your daughter is solely going for awareness. I'M NOT CALLING HER A LIAR! the object is, you have no idea if she noticed used to be for truly. When individuals who passes away, we have a tendency to take into account them plenty, and think to be seeing them. that can be together with your daughter, or no longer.
