Society & Culture - 4 November 2006

This recently happened to the child my wife provides day care for. I figure that either
1. God allowed it to happen
2. God caused it to happen
3. God couldn't prevent it from happening, or
4. God doesn't care.

Can anyone give me a more satisfactory answer?

THE COWBOY AND THE LESBIAN.

An old cowboy sat down at the Star bucks and ordered a cup of coffee.
As he sat sipping his coffee, a young woman sat down next to him.
She turned to the cowboy and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?"
He replied, "Well, I've spent my whole life breaking colts, working cows,
going to rodeos, fixing fences, pulling calves, bailing hay, doctoring
calves, cleaning my barn, fixing flats, working on tractors, and feeding
my dogs, so I guess I am a cowboy."

She said, "I'm a lesbian. I spend my whole day thinking about women. As
soon as I get up in the morning, I think about women. When I shower, I
think about women. When I watch TV, I think about women. I even think
about women when I eat. It seems that everything makes me think of
women."

The two sat sipping in silence.
A little while later, a man sat down on the other side of the old cowboy
and asked, "Are you a real cowboy?!”
He replied, "I always thought I was, but I just found out that I’m a
lesbian."

All people sin. Christians too. If a christian person makes one mistake people are all over it! Look at Mel Gibson! Is he not human? Why can't people leave him alone? Ya know - pick on some else like Howard Stern or Bill Clinton or Tara Reid or Mariah Carey - that fake amazon woman don't care about any body but herself! Why do ya think her nickname is MeMe? Let christians be human just like they are at least they show up to church and acknowledge the Lord! How many of those judgemental idiots can say the same, right?

If you are uneducated then you have an excuse. But cmon, we know of egyptian civilization that lived long before that. And we've found frozen people who are even older. What about dinosaur fossils, or stones that take millions of years of pressure to create (ie the diamond) or what about light from planets that we can see that are thousands of light years away. All this scientic evidence every where you turn and people are stuck on a 2000 year old book written by people who had 'visions' and thought the earth was flat. I just dont get it. Can someone explain

Most will say they believe that God exists, they believe this is sufficient to be a 'Christian'...clearly this isn't enough!
In the New Testament, it states you must be 'Born Again' to be a 'True Believer'...this means you MUST repent for your sins and ask Jesus into your heart. So if there are so many who believe in God, why are they (maybe you?) embarrassed by the bible, by attending church, and by the mention of Jesus's name?

I know that someone called the FBI and then called Yahoo and told them that they had done so and the site cleaned up really quickly....shows you that y/answers can do it when they have to....now we also have a class action lawsuit in progress to force Yahoo answers to submit the real user names behind the avatars....that'll cause some minor's parents a little financial chaos and some adults a lot of grief...but in the meantime I guess all we can do is keep ignoring them...and NOT answering their questions....I don't even have time to report them anymore...If we could just train ourselves to ignore them they'll go away...lets's just try it for 1 night?.

Well, I'm a straight guy, but I was always bi curious.. My girlfriend has a guy friend, and he's bi... She wants me to have a threeway and she talked to him and he's ok with it too.. I've already met the guy a week ago in the Gym, and he's not bad looking.. pretty muscular, good body.

Should I do it?? I don't want to dissappoint her or anything.
