No, Adam and Eve were the first Homo Sapiens.
You're trying too hard to fit science and the bible together. God didn't create a clean rock called Earth. He created the Earth with a history. That's how you come to terms with 1,000,000 year old fossils. He made them that old to begin with. Connecting evolution to the Bible is easier than you think.

No, homo erectus was a stage in evolution when man/apes first walked upright. If you chose to believe the words of Genesis as fact rather than as a moral, then Adam & Eve would have been the first examples of Homo Sapiens.

That's one viewpoint.
I know some folks who are even more into the whole theory that there are no conflicts between science and religion. They believe in Darwin's theory of the origin of a species - that humans and primates have a common ancestor - and are also very Christian. Their main focus was that when evolution had reached a point that true humans existed, God put a soul into their bodies. Their ancestors who were not yet human did not have souls. This argument threads the "life arose from organic soup" theory with the Biblical statement that the first human was created from the earth itself. Such denominations are hard to find but if you search you can find them and discuss why they believe what they do.

No. according to the Bible, They were the frist homo Sapien Sapiens. But, If you're talking evolution, Homo erectus was before Homo sapien, and Homo Sapien Sapien. Homo erectus basically means "a standing up monkey".

If Adam was erectus around Eve, then he wasn't homo...
I couldn't resist - the punchlines just write themselves, sometimes.

NOPE!!!!
Difinitely NOT AT ALL!!!!
They were just pigment of imagination of the people who wrote the Bible.... are not all cultures has stories of "The First Man and Woman?" or where all things that they can't explain came from?
Science does not fit in that much in creation stories in the Bible.... take for example why women have painful childbirth... according to the Bible it is the punishment of God for disobedience..... but i think the medical doctors will tell you otherwise... get my point?
