They face east, to Bahji, the burial site of Baha'u'llah, and the holiest site for Baha'is.
It is north of Haifa, in Israel.

There are some prayers such as the daily obligatory prayer, that require the individual to face toward Bahji/Haifa, but most may be done in most any direction (especially inwards!). The ones that are done towards Haifa are usually prefaced with a note reminding folks of this requirement.

Oh dear, I was a Bahai, I can't remember. A good guess is Haifa.

As stated in Baha'u'llah's book of laws, it mentions "Facing in the direction of the Qiblih (Baha'u'llah's burial location) is a fixed requirement for the recitation of obligatory prayer, but for other prayers and devotions one may follow what the merciful Lord hath revealed in the Qur'án: "Whichever way ye turn, there is the face of God."
