We can't say Merry Christmas, Can't have Christmas Programs in schools. This bothers me because this is what Christians call it. Why do we have to bend over to change that for other religions?

If both situations involve providing recognition to "consenting adults" who are in love and want to share and spend the rest of thier lives together how can you separate them? I know there are other issues you could point to in polygamy, like problems with forcing marriage and underage matters, but removing those problems/issues, and if they are consenting adults, I don't see any way you could make one legal and not the other.

Why:
heaven: people only do good for the sake of reward.
hell: people will obey blindly out of fear.

If you truly beleive God you will not care about heaven and hell, everything you do should be out of love.

I was on the tube and the carriage was empty. A large man got on and had to sit right by me and spead himself into my space. WHY! When the rest of the car was full. I am a bangladeshi college student and i live with my parents.All the time they quarrel.I have a lot of problems with my new college.One of the teachers insulted me and said that i am a dull student and i can't do anything.He would pull me out from the class if i can't tell him sinC+D=2sinC+d/2 cosC-D/2 (it's a formula of math).All my classmates teased me.After returning home i cried a lot and told everything to my parents.They said that it was your fault.But i am a serious student ,i've got 90% marks in physics,chemistry,biologoy and maths.Every night i get up and cry a lot because of that insult.sometimes i think i will commit suicide and there is nobody to share my pains.i am 16.(sorry because of my bad english)...

Have you ever had moments in your life that could not be explained certain moments of clarity that brought you to this path.
wouldnt you say that in those moments you experience yourself at the highest peak of love, acceptance and connection of oneself.
Do you not think that this is god, I do so am I an atheist as well because I choose my faith in myself and in mankind, even though I know it is god?

Earlier, someone posted a question about wife beating in Islam and included this from the Koran.
Koran 4:34 ..."Beat your wives if they disobey you."

One user confirms that it is true, and goes on to justify it this way:
"these little things can save marriage and increase the respect and love between husband and wife."
"Muhammad describe the beating by using his four fingers spank it on her shoulders."

First of all, I'm stunned at how someone can think that domestic abuse helps a relationship. Second, it doesn't say anything in the Koran about HOW to beat your wife/wives.


Then another user chimes in and supports wife beating with this little gem:
"And if u have a wife who is bad at u? are u gonna applaude her?"
"If u were speaking the truth ...then tell me why so many women are turning to islam???"

This user seems to be saying that NOT beating your wife would be like encourgaing her, and also goes off on a tangent that suggests that Sura does not exist in the Koran

I just watched good ole Rush on msnbc.com talk about a recent ad campaign that Michael J. Fox filmed to support a democratic candidate. He explained to his listening and viewing audience that Michael was "exaggerating" his Parkinson's and then went on to mimic Michael's muscle spasms. I hope that when Rush finally passes on that he burns eternally in the darkest corner of the Hell that I'm sure he thinks he is going to avoid. What do you think?

I have heard time and time again that the good die young. I am just curious as to why!!?

I don't want to die young because I still have to help people, it almost makes me want to act bad so I don't die.

I have this theory that they manifest there own deaths with there own thoughts.
