From Adam to Mohammad there were 124,000 prophets or messiahs(messengers of the God).They evolved at different times among different civilizations.They all did one thing in common.Preached ONESS of God the Almighty.Todays various religions are the distorted versions of their teachings.No wonder you asked this question.
