Not right now, however NASCAR is trying to promote diversity and there are a couple of minorities in the minor leagues of racing. Also Juan Montoya will be driving Nextel Cup next year, he is Hispanic and a champion Formula One racer. So efforts are being made. Until the last 10-15 years NASCAR was mainly a regional sport(the Southeast)there are still "barriers" to minorities gaining a foothold. Minorities also have to make an effort to show interest in this sport as well. I am willing to bet that most TV's in black America are not tuned into this weeks Nextel Cup race.

Back in the 50's and 60's NASCAR had a black driver. Then, Willy T Ribbs tried a few years ago in the late 90's to get into the sport but he simply wasn't good enough to compete. NASCAR despite it's apparent simplicity is really tough racing and does require a bit of talent to "go fast and turn left". NASCAR drivers have been successful crossing over to other genre's of motorsports but when say a Formula 1 driver tries NASCAR...they can't cut it. But I got off the subject...the short answer is they had blacks...none currently.
