A few months ago, I decided to re-discover God and the Church. I began going to mass again, praying, went to confession, etc.
But for some reason, I am losing belief in my faith. I am having difficulty believing in God and Jesus and the bible. Sometimes it just doesn't seem logical to me. Sometimes it all seems like a fairy tale. I watch alot of shows on EWTN for guidance and inspiration.
I have often prayed for Jesus or Mary to appear to me to help me with my faith but of course, I never got such an apparition. I guess I am like Doubting Thomas in a way.
Then in doing some Google searches, I came up with this horrible website that I will not name here, but it's a site that gives a lot of different reasons for why God and the bible are not real. Unfortunately, alot of the reasons given made sense to me :(
What can I do? Will I ever get my faith back? I am going through a real tough time right now with an anxiety disorder and my lack of faith is worsening my symptoms. Can ne-one help?

About a year ago, while discussing with some friends the subjects of death, dying and funerals, body and organ donation came up. We all had pretty much decided on donating whatever could be used except one lady. She said, rather proudly, "Not even my hair will be cut when I die!" I was curious about this, and I asked her why. She became VERY upset at me, yelled that it was her right and then stomped away. I know she's catholic, but that's about it as far as belief structure. I thought it might have been some personal thing for her.

Well, today I was discussing the same thing with another group of older ladies, and one said she couldn't. That she didn't want to be resurrected missing a foot or something. My jaw just dropped. She's a Jehovah's Witness and I thought they thought their god was omnipotent and could easily provide her with a new whatever. (My god could.) Is this a common belief or do both have issues? And where in the bible would one find this mentioned?

What is a good haunted house to go to, where is it located, and how much is it? If you have a phone number or web site that would be great too.

I am a christian, I , as with all other Christians have free will. I came to Christ on my own. I was raised in church yes, but it wasn't until I was older that I was fully aware of Christ and what he did for me (everyone) and I returned to him on my own. How does one become brainwashed anyway? I know about the Jim Jones cult, now that was brain washing.

Are given to us because of the concept of a God? The Constitution says "we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights." This is one of reason the Founding Fathers use to justify their rebellion. They said that since George III rules encroached upon individual rights given to them by a God higher than the government, they had to rebel. Of course, there were other contributing factors, such as the Enlightenment and the idea that George III broke the social contract, but, what do you think?
It implies God gave us our rights, such as freedom of speech, religion, the press, etc. So it would mean that because of God, or the concept of a God (if you don't believe in God) we actually have rights that the government can't take away.
I think that, without the concept of God-given rights, they become government given rights, and the government can try to take them away. What do you think? No rude responses or attacks from either thiests or atheists. Agree or not? Why?

Nowadays we’re hearing things like, “Islam is The religion of peace and tolerance. It promotes respect for others and …” The truth however, is that Islam is very clear on the issue of violence towards non-Muslims. This can be seen in Ayat Al Sayf, which says: ‘Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush.’ Furthermore, it can be shown that any verses relating to tolerance of others e.g. 2:256 are Meccan verses, written in times of weakness. Those such as Ayat Al Sayf, are Medinan; written in times of strength. Even Islamic analysts say that all verses of tolerance were abolished (Mansooka) with Ayat Al Sayf. The second part of this verse ‘But if they repent and establish worship’ means if they become muslim leave them alone! That doesn’t help either. So how can Islam possibly claim to be a religion of peace when it clearly orders the murder of non-muslims?
