I like both. I grew up in the South, but now live in the North. The North took some getting used to, but now it seems like home.

In the South I like being in the Bible Belt and the southern drawls and sense of humor, slower pace and good manners.

In the North, however, I like being able to say what I think without people thinking I'm being rude. In the South I was raised to smile, be agreeable and keep any unpleasant (that means opposing) opinions to myself. I like being able to be me. (-:

Just to be fair, I think I should say that I grew up in Texas and am now in New York. Every state is a little different even in it's own region. All southern states are not alike and neither or the northern.

South, American by birth, Southern by the Grace of God.

Less cold weather, better looking women, longer growing season, better football teams, friendlier people with better manners.

People in the south are more cultured and polite. Northerner, especially on YA are crude, prejudiced and profane.
