Does your faith baptize, circumcise, dedicate or name? What ceremonies do you engage in to welcome a fresh person?

We have a baby "dedication" ceremony. The parents bring the newborn to the front of the church. They are joined by all extended family and close friends. The pastor asks a series of questions to the parents regarding the upbringing of the child such as "do you commit to raise him/her in church?" "do you commit to giving the child the best education you can?" "do you commit to raising the child in a Christian home?" It's really more of a parent dedication service than that of the child. The parent's are the ones dedicating themselves to raise the child according to God's word.

For Daemonolators, we have a baptism ceremony for infants, often in the name of Unsere, the Daemon of creation and new life. But it's a voluntary ceremony and not all Daemonolator parents have their children baptized because many believe in allowing their children to make their own spiritual choices when they're old enough. Most of our official baptisms and dedications take place when a person comes to our religion of their own accord after they have reached legal age (18).

We have a baby dedication. All parents bring the child to the front of the congregation. The youth pastor asks the congregation and parents a series of questions pertaining to the raising and protecting of the child. The parents and congregation all respond at once, "With God's help we will." After all question have been asked people are invited to come up and pray over the children and parents.

Dedicating the child to God and promising to raise them in Gods word, will and way. This is done only if the parents want to have this ceremony, its not a requirement.

But always with hugs and kisses and Love. This is a biblical requirement and it is done with great joy.

We are non denominational followers of our creator and his word, will and way.

I have never read of anything in the Bible that tells us to do anything to or about a ( fresh person )
The Bible does tell us to raise up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart.
You must not add to Gods word. Revelation 22:17-If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
18- If any man take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

In Islam it's simple, we just say athan (call to prayer) to the ear of the baby, that's all. Words of the athan are:

God is Greatest
I bear witness that there is no god except God
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God
Make haste towards prayer
Make haste towards welfare
God is greatest
There is no god except God

We put holy water on their head, and present them to God, to bless them for their life. The parents and grandparents stand in front of the pulpit, then we give the baby to the pastor. He raises the baby up as to give him to the Lord and pray.

Since the baby was a thought of God, the baby has been welcome by God, Spirit Guide is there, you just apply love and guidance, faith in prayers and healing through Jesus Christ.

God and Jesus is my religion.
