When someone asks you that they almost always mean the illegal variety, just tell them no. If a cop asks, tell them only perscirption ones from the doctors.

Why are you so worried about what you should say. It's none of any ones business what prescription drug your on. When a cop stops you he is interested in the illegally drugs not the ones the doctor has you on. And why would people be asking you if your on drugs? Are you acting loopy? If so maybe you have the wrong dose. Check with your doctor.

I agree with leonidis. Frankly, unless it's a policeman, a doctor or nurse, I don't think it's anyone's business about your prescription drugs. Maybe the exception would be your employer if the medication you're on could cause you to hurt yourself on a piece of equipment.

"Yes, sir/madam, I'm on medication."
(Or, after having coffee, the most delicious of all teh available drugs out there):
"Yes, sir/madam, I'm high on caffeine. I just left the Starbucks around the corner."
