I need to address this to all the Non-Muslims in the UK which is that Why are you here on Earth what is the reason behind your creation have you tried to find an answer I pretty much doubt it. This life is only temporary and short why do people get attached to it. The real life of the soul starts after death where you will face your Lord (Allah) who will question you for what you did but it will be too late and there will be a terrible punishement for the non-muslims. The bible has been changed so many times in the past i dont know which one is correct whereas the Holy Quran is one Book and has never changed and it will Remain Unchanged until My Lord (Allah) will announce that Judgment Day is here. Woe to those who disbelieve and associate parnters With Their Lord The Almighty (Allah) Why is Britain Afraid Of Muslims and the way we live our Lives according To the Quran.

Does this debacle not prove that we have all completely lost the plot over Christmas?

People (who most certainly can't afford to) have lost around £1000 each....£1000 for one day?!? Most of them aren't even religious

Don't get me wrong...I'm really sorry for them, but hey, isn't it time for a wake-up call?

Christmas had always been huge in my life until I was once so poor I couldn't afford to send cards even...I worried myself sick until the 26th Dec when I realised that everyone were still my friends and talking to me and it was all over like it had never happened...I learned a valuable lesson that year - Christmas is just another day.

Anyone else out there smelt the coffee?

I know there's a commandment against killing people, but is that because it's wrong to kill people, or because God said not to? If it's just because God said so, then if God told you to go on a killing spree, obeying would be the "right thing to do", wouldn't it? Could you hold any ground by arguing with God that murder is "wrong," when God is the one who invented Right and Wrong? It seems to me like you'd kind of have to throw out either your understanding of morality or else your belief in the Righteousness of God. Which would you pick?

And don't say God would never do that; the Old Testament is full of God telling the Israelites how and when to go to war, and whether to enslave their enemies, rape their women, or just kill them all. God's Laws only apply to what you do on your own time, when God isn't talking to you directly.

(FYI: I'm just curious. I don't think God is talking to me, nor am I planning a killing spree.)

I'd never head of this until sometime last spring. And before that, only in movies/TV that depicted 'slavery' times. The difference being that the persons in captivity were addressing the Caucasian females as "Miss" then their first name, or the Caucasian males as "Master." Why is this resurgent? What happened to Sir, Ma'am, Mr., Mrs., Ms. and then a LAST NAME? Or if the situation allows it, a first name?

growing up i learned that christian doctrine is a fundamentalist doctrine. and it must be so, presumably, if the ultimate goal of christianity is to make the whole world christian. but i love humanity, and it is hard to believe that everyone must "do as i do".

I know a young person, 5 years old, who told me that God is in the sky with Jesus and that God heals people. I asked "who else heals people" and the young person told me "I told you God heals people. God will heal you if you have an owwie". I asked the young person if there are other ways to heal and the response was "I dunno".

It seems a bit more practical to teach children to call 911 or to get an adult when something bad happens or at least to teach them BOTH if God simply must be included, not to JUST teach them that God will heal without including a real-world lesson.

Thoughts?

how is this question, just deleted, a violation?

Question: If Jesus is God, He didn't die on the cross ...?

Details of Violation: and even if you can somehow use twisted logic to say otherwise (some will try, guaranteed), He had no fear of death or his place in the afterlife. Those are the things that make death really scary for us mortals. So, WTF? "Sacrifice"?

Clearly you "Christians" can't even agree on whether Jesus IS God or is a demi-god. Seems getting that straight would be pretty fundamental to your belief. My point is that regardless, Jesus KNEW his suffering was short-term and that he would be returned to heaven. Therefore, he experienced no fear of death. Fear of death, not ephemeral physical pain is what scares the hell out of humans. Jesus never experienced that, and therefore his "sacrifice" in no way compares to a real human death.

We can pray for the wrong thing-have you-As a new believer -the Messiah spoke to my heart and said "Dalan I will give you anything you desire, I asked let me be able to know your perfect will, please, amen
-the children of Israel in the desert wanting more to eat than their heavenly manna supplied each day (double on friday for the sabbath)-complained and God allowed quail birds to come and many ate the forbidden-23,000 died that day from it.
they got what they asked for, but they didnt want what they got!

The first prayer and only prayer God is required to answer is true repentance and asking as Jesus asks for salvation from sin-Revelation 1:1 chapter one verse one-spoken from heaven -Rev. 3vs19&20 "Behold I love you, and knock on your heart door to come in and forgive for sins,to become your friend, when you repent and ask me in."

its important when we pray-to ask for Jesus perfect will.

"Jesus if im not willing to do your will change my will so i will be willing to do it"

The fact that evolution occurs is plain and observable. You don't even need fossils, live stock does fine, even better than fossils. The theory is about how it comes about, and what it might mean.
