and... give them all the needs to live. They Would in no doubt come up with some kind of "GOD" to worship an it wouldn't be JESUS or any of the gods we all know about. why do you think that is? maybe because its human nature to have something more after death? or it could be out of fear of not existing or what i want u to tell me?

tie bombs around themselves or the like. Many people who think they are funny post those questions and answers here.
I see the athiests think Christians do that.
I see Christians assume it is athiests with poor humor
It could even be a giant Muslim conspiracy to get pity???? (doubtful)

Does anyone have the courage to say that about Muslims one more time, and say their religious affliliation (or lack of)

they deleted this question, which in NO WAY violates their rules!

Question: If this research turns out to be definitive, does it invalide the Bible as God's word?

Details of Violation: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/user/scotts/ftp/bulgarians/nih-upi.html If being gay is genetic, then God's own biblical pronouncements against homosexuality would be hypocritical to say the least. He would be punishing man for his own handywork (the "gay gene"). It would be roughly equivalent to labeling schizophrenia or Parkinson's Disease a sin! How will the church(s) respond?

Why is it that when you bring up evolution with Christian Fundamentalists, they dismiss it as a theory, saying there isn't ENOUGH scientific evidence to back up any of the clamis of evolution? But then they turn around and say that they believe in God. Isn't the existence of God even more of a "theory" under that logic? It is hilarious to me.

Two years ago (or thereabouts), the World Health Organization released a study which stated that, in order to sustain human life and consumption over the next twenty years, we would require THREE PLANET EARTHS!! Just today it was estimated that the United States alone has surpassed the 300 MILLION MARK in population!! It is conceivable, and highly likely that greed and hunger and global conflict will be a natural result of such a catastrophic scenario--we have been seeing the initial shortages for quite a while now, chiefly with petroleum and gasoline products! Shouldn't we start acting NOW to prepare for those inevitable outcomes??! Why are we choosing to ignore the issue, instead of facing it head-on! I don't know if banning childbirth is the answer, but isn't it incumbent on us to AT LEAST DO SOMETHING??!!

Does he want New Orleans to become a new mecca for candy, desserts and sweets? Or...was it a thinly-veiled racist statement meant to intimidate white people?

I believe he said "New Orleans will be a Chocolate City". In other words: "Honkys, stay out!" If you're a white family thinking about re-locating to New Orleans, you might want to reconsider given the Mayor's threats.

I was at a catholic Church before in Las Vegas and I took a piece of the literature home with me in a creed, I think the "Nicene Creed" from the church the part after it said Jesus died...it said "He descended to hell...." I am utterly confused by this and asked the priest who explained to me but he had to get somewhere and I never grasped the meaning of this..how could Jesus descend into hell?

I hardly ever see questions from people that claim to have FAITH, but don't affiliate with an organized religion. By definition, ANY organized religion claims to be the one true religion of God (I think, there may be some that do not however I am not aware of them). And all of these religions say that you have to join this particular faith in order to understand the one true God. So I would like to get the opinion of followers of different faiths concerning people who believe in God, but do not affiliate themselves with an organized religion. Since religion is nothing more than FAITH, why is it that in order to believe in God, you must actively join an organized religion? From my examination of religion, no one religion can offer a view that is valid for everyone. So if someone believes in A God, lives a good moral life, and accepts/respects a power greater than them, aren't their values valid? In other words, would the world be better if religion was personal rather than social?
