I think for the most part it is exactly what we make it-negative people tend to say our life here is miserable and optimists say it's like a little slice of heaven. I like to focus on the good things-there are so many -besides, negative attitudes do make things seem like hell-

Now that one's a tough one. I don't want to offend anyone right now, but first of all there is no purgatory. I'd explain the theory, but I don't have time: it's getting late. The Bible gives no indication of where Heaven or Hell is located, and therefore I do not believe it is that important. I think the Bible does say that Heaven is separated from Hell as far as the east is from the west. I might be wrong on that though, I'll have to check. Once you can figure out how far the east is from the west you should be able to figure out how far Heaven and Hell are from earth. It's kinda like the question of how far does the universe go.

heaven, hell and purgatory exist only in the minds/imagination of the people who believe in this nonsense, these people are all on earth, so earth is the same distance from all these fictitious locations.
