how is this question, just deleted, a violation?

Question: If Jesus is God, He didn't die on the cross ...?

Details of Violation: and even if you can somehow use twisted logic to say otherwise (some will try, guaranteed), He had no fear of death or his place in the afterlife. Those are the things that make death really scary for us mortals. So, WTF? "Sacrifice"?

Clearly you "Christians" can't even agree on whether Jesus IS God or is a demi-god. Seems getting that straight would be pretty fundamental to your belief. My point is that regardless, Jesus KNEW his suffering was short-term and that he would be returned to heaven. Therefore, he experienced no fear of death. Fear of death, not ephemeral physical pain is what scares the hell out of humans. Jesus never experienced that, and therefore his "sacrifice" in no way compares to a real human death.

The system of violations on Yahoo Answers is essentially random.

A clear violation can easily stand even if reported, and you can get a violation notice for perfectly benign questions (presumably because someone out there reports them anyway).

I assume that the problem is that the people who are supposed to handle this are simply overwhelmed by the sheer volume.

I suspect there's also the usual "PC" element to it, in that Christians are largely protected from having their beliefs questioned, but I doubt that it's a systematic, pervasive bias, simply because there's no time for that.

I'm not religious nor do pretend to understand some of the censure ship practiced by YA but your controversy is just that and nothing more than two apposing views admitting their ignorance in the form of debate without resolution or open mindedness enough for reason and knowledge to evolve on either side . some just like to bang their heads against the wall just maybe the repetitiveness was the reason for censure-ship.
I really don't know or expect a doctorate to rate questions but who knows that could be subject to disappointment as well
Better luck in the future if you ask them they might tell u why ?

WHAT? That was the reason for deletion they gave you? No way! If that's true, copy and paste the details of violation, and send it directly to the source. It's not a guarentee, but it SHOULD rectify the situation.

I, myself, don't have an opinion to share on the topic, but it doesn't sound like what happened to you is correct, either.

Maybe the Yahoo no no filter read it as an answer about human sacrifice.
