We can pray for the wrong thing-have you-As a new believer -the Messiah spoke to my heart and said "Dalan I will give you anything you desire, I asked let me be able to know your perfect will, please, amen
-the children of Israel in the desert wanting more to eat than their heavenly manna supplied each day (double on friday for the sabbath)-complained and God allowed quail birds to come and many ate the forbidden-23,000 died that day from it.
they got what they asked for, but they didnt want what they got!

The first prayer and only prayer God is required to answer is true repentance and asking as Jesus asks for salvation from sin-Revelation 1:1 chapter one verse one-spoken from heaven -Rev. 3vs19&20 "Behold I love you, and knock on your heart door to come in and forgive for sins,to become your friend, when you repent and ask me in."

its important when we pray-to ask for Jesus perfect will.

"Jesus if im not willing to do your will change my will so i will be willing to do it"

Never regretted his giving me what I have asked for, because he usually trying to show us that there is something much more important than what we have asked for. ie., I was a stay at home mom while my daughter was a baby upuntil she was 21/2 almost three. And because my way of thinking at the time was according to the world's, I did not enjoy it as I could with her and my son who was older. All I wanted to do was be making money because that is what I went to school for and as the world says you have to have everything and be everything. Well, I got my prayers answered - went back to working as a nurse because my husband Army reserve unit went to Cuba for a year; watched life become even more hectic because I "needed" more money to pay bills. Then when my husband returned, we had started fightingmore and more over who was in control, and I kept praying for something more, and that I needed change. Well Change is what I was given. January 2004, my husband moved out and said he did not want to be married anymore. ( Although I confessed Christ, I wasn't living for Him) Fast forward, I asked the Lord who had never left me to take control of my life and he has been amazing!! My family was only separated for seven months, we moved to a new state where the Lord just pours out his love and mercy on us daily and now we see it. My husband who was an atheist, is now a believer and although our lives are not perfect, it is wonderful through His grace. Now, once again I am a stay - at - home mom amd I love this chance given to me once again and am now looking to home-school them. ( God is Good!) You will be in my prayers as you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By the way I would like for you to email me your testimony of how you came to accept the Lord . Very interested in learning more of the Jewish heritage as I study my Bible. By the way now you have more than one answer!
