People have used BC(before christ) and AD(anno dimini) for the timeline for up until a couple years ago because they are Christian. now for public schools they use BCE(before common era) and CE(common era). But why do people think that AD(anno domini, or year of the lord) means after death? In the bible, Jesus lived for 30 years after AD started. And please, I want answers that aren't sacreligious.

I just wanna hear opinions. Why dont we make everyone go through the "coming out process". I feel as normal as a str8 person, so why must I "come out the closet" and get "accepted" by my family and peers? Who's really a valid source to say what the norm is???? Surely not the bible.

Before i start with my idea,i must state that this is not a slurr against anyones beliefs, religion or trying to make a mockery of ones choice in clothing.
It dawned on me that you could possibly commit a robbery dressed in a muslin woman's veil and outfit(sorry i dont know the proper name for the complete attire).As long as you carry your self properly and dont speak you have a good chance in getting away with it.
But more importantly,if there were witnesses.... they would have to be able to identify you in your outfit, amongst a police line up of similar dressed people!.
Which not only is going to be difficult to identify you ,but also could cause upset to the local muslin comunity as muslin women could be selected for the line up- and they could feel singled-out or something......

First of all, the word Christ is not a last name, like Bob Christ, or anything like that. It is the Greek translation of the word messiah, a title that means "annointed one."

And second, the word Jesus is a derivation of the Aramaic word Yeshua, which can be translated into the name Joseph... or just as easily be translated to mean "the deliverer" or "the saviour."

This means there is a valid argument that can be made that the biblical name Jesus Christ is referring to an unnamed person who was "The annointed saviour" or something to that effect.

To me this lends credence to the idea that there was no Jesus as a person, that he was a literary construct in the same vein as Hercules, Osiris, and Mithras. Or that the person to whom this title was given wasn't important as a mere man, so that aspect of his existence was glossed over and forgotten. It seems entirely possible since the New Testament was compiled centuries after the events that were portrayed in it.

Dear God,
Thank you for allowing me to go through 18 surgeries, and be in the hosp[ital, 365 days before I was 11. I got to understand the will to live, of the sick.
Thank you for allowing my aunt to die. Without that pain, I wouldn't have understood others pain when they missed someone they loved. I would have never goten to meet the child rape-victim runaways, and learned how to listen to their cries. Would have never learned how they hurt, why they felt you weren't there, when all they had to do was call out to You. Thank you God. I learned what my flesh was, what it is to be human, to cry, and the pain Jesus felt when Lazarus died, and when He was hanging almost bloodless, on the cross. Thank you God, I got to feel someone's pain when his son committed suicide. I know now what rebellion of a son does to a father's heart. As much as I have hurt in the past Lord, I know you are there. You have shown me GREAT and MIGHTY things I know not!!

What the hell ever happened to our freedoms? our country?
When America was first formed it was formed on the laws of God, now you can't even say his name in a public school but it can still be on the dollar bill? nowadays if you decide to praise the country and it's president then everythings ok, if you say you hate the president, or in a fit of anger say that you just wished he would die, you're labeled a terroist if heard by the wrong people and next thing you know you have the police or even the secret service at your door. ( not joking this really happens) It seems that all the things we take for granted are being stripped away and replace with gag's and chains..... So where are our freedoms?

The step mother hates them and makes the inept father take them out in the woods to lose them. The kids find the old witch's house where she makes the girl a slave and puts the boy in a cage to fatten him up. The little girl persuades the witch to look into the furnace and then she pushes the witch in to burn to death.

By wearing a veil you are cutting others of from interacting with you as facial expressions are an important part of being a human. You are preventing people from being able to relate to you, yet you seem surprised that people treat you differently, why the surprise? the hijab is also intrusive admitably it is not as bad as a veil, but it is still part of the same phenomenon. Please don't sat god wants it, if god wanted it he would have given you a veil by birth

Okay so I am a muslim women but if you look at me you will never guess!!I dont wear that hajab(the head scarf) I don't cover my body up! Why do none believers get sent to hell. Surely there isn't enough evidence pointing towards the existence of God to expect everyone to be a believer. How do we know what the bible says is what God really wants? God did not dictate it and he has never made himself known to us.
