Coming Out?

I'm thinkin of tellin my parents im gay, the original plan was to wait till I'm out of the house but I dunno, i don't think i can wait 3 more years. My friend helped me to be more proud of my homosexualty, and I'm not ashamed of it, all my friends know, that was easy, but I have to see my parents and relatives pracitcally everyday. What do guys think I should do? And if you think I should come out, how should I do it?

P.S. I don't want any homphobes answering this question telling me to "fight it" it's not possible and it's dumb.

How soon before Halloween can I carve a pumpkin and it still be presentable on Halloween?

Or, how do I keep it from going bad once I carve it? I'm a busy person, but every year I LOVE elaborately and artistically creating designs in my pumpkins (kids LOVE the artwork) I need to know how soon I can carve them and they still be ok to display on Halloween. Thanks :)

Why have christians abandoned their catholic roots?

Catholocism is the tree from which protestants grew. Why do christians bash Catholics? It seems to me that christians are just looking for a fight with anyone and everyone sometimes. Believe what you want, don't respect the beliefs of others, but respect their free will and choice and honor those who went before. If if weren't for catholocism...christianity wouldn't exist in it's present form and maybe not at all.

Why the hatred of your brothers and sisters in Christ?

(I'm an atheist by the way and yes I work on X-mas so my christian and catholic friends can have the day off - sorry I'm just sick of hearing how atheist suck up x-mas to get a day off)

Islam and evolution?

I just read an answer to this question-

The answer said that in the koran it states "the answers about our creation are in the world to see for those who use thier brain", does this mean that islam supports the theory of evolution e.t.c.

It seems to me that using your brain means making observations and aplying logic to formulate a theory, then trying to prove or disprove that theory, is this not what the scientific method wich brought about our current understanding of the universe is about?

Legal action against Yahoo?

Do you think legal action should be taken against Yahoo. By allowing people to post hate messages and by not removing them Yahoo is actively encouraging more of the same. Why does Yahoo need to wait for someone to report an abuse for some of the stuff posted here before they do anything? In fact 9 times out of 10 even when an abuse is reported they do nothing anyway. Do you think Yahoo should be more proactive as since they setup this forum isn't the onus on them to police it better? Your thoughts please, and make them loud.

I am wondering why would someone have to give up a symbol of their history for the sake of someonelses history? Most people do not think of slavery when they see that beautiful flag.

Is God real?

Everyone have different religions but Christianity is the top religion practiced by people. If you ask someone, they would likely to say that God is real. But, Catholics and Christians used to believe the world is flat since it was said by the pope. Today, we know that the world is not flat but round. In addition, the Bible said that he created all things and animals and they never changed. But, it has been proven that animals slowly evoluted over time to suit their environment. Also, technology today is advanced enough to allow humand to achieve incredible actions such as the Atomic Bomb and to travel 9 times the speed of sound such as the X-15. Furthermore, people are able to clone animals today and create new life. Meanwhile, the Bible said that only God can create life. I believe that God is not real and that people made it up to explain things.

If you work in a grocery store you can understand...
When people leave their children in a cart with you and walk away
When people on food stamps are buying steak
When old people or illiterate people try to use the self checkout
When people put groceries they don't want all over your lane
When young girls have WIC when they don't need to be opening their legs if they can't afford a kid
When Mexicans press the english button and don't speak english
When people speak english and press the spanish button and don't speak spanish
When people don't put clothes or shoes on their kids
When people tell you how to do your job
When people stare at you to hurry up and they don't even bother to help you
When people tell you how to bag their groceries when they can clearly do it themselves
When they pretend to struggle with their case of water or bag of dogfood just so you will pick it up for them
When they talk really loud to eachother critizing the store to make you hear them
