Words are a very powerful weapon. Likewise ideas are too. A promise of endless rewards for obedience or a condemnation of endless suffering for disobedience. Self Proclaimed Righteous Prophets and Men of God, demanding submission to an idea through manipulative words. Submission given for fear of damnation and hopes of rewards.

Genesis 27:26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:
28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.

Why the hell do public figures always cop out by blaming their "disease?"

Yeah I'm talking about Rush Limbaugh, Mel Gibson, Mark Foley & Bob Ney.

Cowards. Stop blaming alcohol and take responsibility for your actions. Contrary to what AA preaches, you are not so powerless.

In the Bible, it talks of the end of the world and the second coming of the Lord. There are some predictions listed. Which ones have already come true?

Let's take an easy one: Adam and Eve I'm not sure when the basic pencil design was created, but I'm pretty sure it was, at least, a few years after Adam and Eve died. The story of the two must have been passed down from generation to generation involving inaccuracies (not lies, necessarily) and misunsderstandings. When it was finally written, it could not have been the same story. The same can be said for many of the Old Testement stories.

I also believe that some the Gospels were written some time (i.e. 200 - 300 yrs) after Jesus died. That would also make for inaccuracy. Why do many people believe the stories actually happened exactly as written? Could they have happened, but in a different way? Could the stories be more like parables instead of actual true-to-life accounts?

**I am not trying to make people question their beliefs, I am only asking because I am interested. This question is not intentionally putting down the Bible or Christianity.

As we know, the divorce rate in the U.S. stands at 50%. That is one out of every 2 couples ending up divorced. It is no wonder I see so many people who are divorced, remarried. I also have a lot of friends who have stepdad or stepmom.
When I marry later in life, I really do not want to end up divorced. I wanna marry a woman I love and stick to her till I die. But still, since the divorce rate is so high like that, I can't stop worrying whether I will be part of the statistics.
I am planning to marry a Christian woman who shares same moral values. How is the divorce rate among Christian couples compared to non-religious couples? Is it much lower?

Im a cashier at a grocery store. Im the fastest scanner and bagger, I know the most about the store, Im the hardest working and most dependable cashier that store has ever had. If you were a customer and you saw me take 6 or 7 full carts to other cashier's every 1 cart, saw me breaking a sweat to get you people out of here and on your way home and having to make up for the other cashier's lazyness of being so slow would you help me by bagging your own groceries? What's so wrong of people helping? This girl said it "was my job" because I get fed up when customers just stand there! There is nothing wrong with needing help! They don't need to sit there and tap their fingers and huff and puff that they are not out of the store yet when Im working hard and they don't even help me! Its their own fault by making it take so long! Im not super cashier! I can only go as fast as my body lets me! Gosh I hate self centered assholes like that!!!!!!!!!

My boss is a Chiropracter. His wife is the office manager. Normally I get them a combined gift of either a basket from peperidge farm or a gift certificate for a restaurant. She is pregnat again with her fourth child. It will probably be hard for them to get out to go to a restaurant by themselves. Is there something tastefull that I can give them thats not to expensive. There is someone else in the office. I don't know what to get him either. It needs to be something appropriate for people you work with.

Do you and your lover ever Role Play? Do you ever switch for a day? Maybe she watches TV and drinks beer all day. Maybe he does shopping, cooking, cleaning, errands, and maybe even wears a dress while doing the house work. Have you swapped roles in the bedroom? Dom to sub, male to female, husband-wife?

its not a big deal on whether its a girl or guy out there.
i think its making some progress ie evanescence, flyleaf, etc but it still has a lot way to go.

so not trying to be a ***** or anything but i just want to know why theres so many guys being successful and girls are kind of a minority.
