since God was just above the clouds over earth, everything had to orbit Earth. Then came my friend Galileo, he said that in fact, everythind orbited THE sun and not the Earth, of course the Christians treated him and his "unproven" idea liek they do with evolution. So conclusion.... who are Christians to say if evolution is a fact?

Let's say your grandmother dies and you have no doubt that if there is a heaven, she is there. Can she look down and see what you are doing on Earth? If you do something wrong (this can be anything, i.e. watching porn, doing drugs, killing people, etc.), does she look down and get disappointed? Does she care, since she was here and probably made mistakes herself? Can she see what is going on? Can she look back to before she died to see what you did then?

I'm not sure if there is anything that addresses this issue. It was just a thought I had.

**Yes, I watch porn. Yes, I've done drugs. No I haven't killed anyone...

who or what should be protected because "life is sacred"?
what are the lines you draw? protect people--ok so what about war or the death penalty? protect animals-ok so what about eating meat? protect the enviorment-there are so many areas of gray-how do you draw the line? when does it become about you your desires and not the sanctity of life? or is just a rationalization people use?
if ALL life was sacred we would not have fly swatters or hamburgers.

One answer stood out among the rest for being close-minded, biggoted, rude and contradictory to being here.

"I don't appreciate it when people use this site to proselytize for whatever weird belief they subsribe to."

Um...excuse me, but who died and made this person god of yahoo answers? Who decides what is a weird belief and what is acceptable? Why would someone like that even be here if not to bash others?

I am going several of my friends to my best friends house to watch movies all night while answering the door for all the super cute trick-or-treaters! We're going to still dress up, possibly having all of us as princesses.

I'm a janitor for a large corporation and go around cleaning restrooms. They have these metal boxes on the side of the stalls for women to discard their tampons. I love reaching in there and grabbing them out and taking a whiff. I don't know why, it just feels like nothing else. I usually take them and put them in garbage bag and when I get them home I vacuum seal them in ziplock bags. (I have found if you don't they really start to stink). Anyways, I don't know if this is considering stealing b/c the women's dna and whatnot is probably still on these but i mean hey, they threw them away right? Another woman's trash is another man's treasure right? I'm not sure why I keep all these...i guess i'm just a pack rat.

"How can any man be just in God’s sight, or how can any woman’s child be innocent?" (Job 25:4 NAB)

What can a child be guilty of? If your answer is 'original sin', then I say to you that you are guilty of stealing my lawn flamingoes last year.
And is it anywhere near possible, truly, that no man is just?

I bought the cheapest hockey game tickets because I simply can't afford hundreds of dollars for better seats. I'm not an avid hockey fan, but I really wanted to experience the game in person. If there are better seats that are empty, is it okay to move? Would there be any negative repercussions if I do?

The first mention of the concept of Original Sin is found, not in Genesis, where the fatal event was supposed to happen, but in the fifth chapter of Romans, written by Paul. According to Paul, humanity was cursed because Adam sinned when he ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. As Paul puts it:

Romans 5:12
12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (KJV)

1 Corinthians 15:22
22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)

Romans 5:17-19
17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life.
19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinner

i have been taking a drug, i stopped for 7mths and prev to that i used for 2 years and have started to use again. the reason i stopped last time was because i had no choice otherwise i know deep down i would have continued to use. i think i suffer from depression, im currently unemployed but i dont have the motivation to start a new job, i wont go on the dole because i will feel embarressed. i get the money for the drugs by borrowing off family saying i will pay them back when i have a job but the only time i want to leave the house is so i can go party. my now ex boyfriend got me heavily onto this and now we have been broken up for just over a year and i still cant stop thinking of him and it helps me to not think about him or how unhappy i am, but after i have used i feel so guilt ridden that i end up usuing again to take the feeling away. i dont know what to do, im so alone, unhappy i feel like i have a hole in my stomach and it wont go away. please any advice greatly needed.

The reason i said attn non catholics and protestants is b/c i'm catholic, and i consider myself a christian, so i was hoping for an outsiders point of view. opinions anyone?? if you are protestant or any other religion, do you think catholics are christians?
