Hi. I agree with you! I am a Catholic. There are many questions in here about the Catholic faith, asking why we do stuff. Saying what we do is crap...
So. I explain to them, and they are so ignorant and arrogant! It is ridiculous! They asked a question, that was actually THREATENING my faith, and I answered it, and they bash me for it! It is very rude, why can't they listen and understand? It does not mean they have to believe it! But respect it!

Why would someone like that even be here if not to bash others?
because they are FOOLS. Best way for us to respond is with a thumbs down and nothing else. Yahoo needs to monitor the Religion & Spirituality section and weed out those who don't have a valid answer to the question asked and are only here to harass people

THANK YOU! People need to excercise a little religious tolerance and open-mindedness. I also hate it when athiests answer serious religious questions and put something to the extent of "it doesn't matter anyway, there is no god." If people hate it when Christians stand on their soapbox spurting their beliefs when it is not wanted, why would it be alright for Atheists to do it? I think it just all comes down to lack of respect of others.

well, you take the good with the bad.
just ignore the answers you don't agree with.
its called yahoo answers!!!
people are doing what their supposed to be doing, answering questions.
I don't know how to put this in a non-offencive way,but you got a chip on your shoulder.
who made you god to say they are wrong for writing that.
that the bible can only be taught a certain way.
you need to live and let live!!!
no-ones complaining about your questions,so why you got to complain about their questions.
Oh,i also like the way you marked my answer as thumbs down on your previous question.
like i tell you how i feel and you give me a thumbs down.
i get hurt to when i see questions that say Christians are evil.
of course,i know you agree with everything bad against me.
God Bless

What this person said was not derogatory nor disrespectful. She spoke her opinion and you should respect that and I took the liberty of looking at her profile, She doesn't even visit this section daily like some do especially the ones who don't belong here and only do stir up the strife and bash.

I don't think your question is offensive at all.
We learn our beliefs from others or deduce them from our own experiences. In effect, beliefs are interpretations and conclusions. What others say and teach us tells us about their thought processes and their beliefs.
Members of the clergy are finding themselves increasingly subjected to legal sanction for what they preach. They speak with trepidation about politics, fundamental social issues, and even the morality of their congregants. Thankfully, in this country they enjoy the protections of the First Amendment.

i'm sorry to say so, but your reaction to this can be taken as haughty. as you said, who decides what is a weird belief and what is acceptable?
if it is this person's belief that others subcribe to religions, then respect them enough to allow them their own opinion.
i personally don't agree with the statement made by that person, but i'm not getting in an uproar over it either.
please don't misunderstand me, i'm not trying to "bash" you in any way. I'm just trying to let you see that your response to this isn't much better than the answer you're responding to.
if this is of so much concern to you, pray that God will step into this person's life.

It is just that person's opinion just as is the question you are referring to. It's up to each person to individually decide in their hearts what they choose to believe. Fortunately we live in a country that offers free will when it comes to making religious choices......so does God. He also allows free will.

I agree, it's sad when people lash out only because they hate what they are reading. An open mind is a wonderful thing to have.
