Islam and evolution?

I just read an answer to this question-

The answer said that in the koran it states "the answers about our creation are in the world to see for those who use thier brain", does this mean that islam supports the theory of evolution e.t.c.

It seems to me that using your brain means making observations and aplying logic to formulate a theory, then trying to prove or disprove that theory, is this not what the scientific method wich brought about our current understanding of the universe is about?

Yes, of course, but let me tell you something...
Regarding to the creation of human, al Quran do tell us a brief information and you may find them through several verses ;

al Insaan 1-2, at Thariq 4-0, al Waqiah 83-85, as Sajjadah 7-9, al Qiamah 36-40, Nuh 14 and lots more

If you're willing to learn, I recommend you to find the English translation of al Quran. For your information, the ones that is recognised by al Azhar & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the ones that is translated by Marmaduke Pitchall. He converted to Islam after embracing the truth about Islam from al Quran.

Let me tell you, why we, Muslims, didn't believed and rely on the theory of Evolution by Darwin. In our Holy Book, God tell us everything from the beginning.. We're from "sperm" and we'll be in our Mom's belly for about 9 months. During the pregnancy periods Allah told us, the process, from sperm to fetus and everything untill the day we're born.

He also told us that He's the ones who sent "life" to us and when the time has come, He will take it back. He also told us that we're the descendants from Adam & Hawa (Eve) and strictly we're created from grounds and that's why when we're death, we'll be burried inside the Earth as a symbollic of we're came from the ground.

About Darwin, his theory of strictly go far beyond our religion and in al Quran says that, Human-being is the best creation of God because He gave us the Brain (that can think) and we're better from other creations. That's why in Adam's story, Allah told each of His creations to pay respect to Adam but only one who disobeyed which is "Iblis Laknatullah" (Devils).

Logically, let me open your mind a bit.. Malaikat (Angels) are made from the Light, Jin (Genies) from Fire, Devils from the tougue of Fire while us are from Ground... Why Allah told everything to respect Adam ? It is simply because we have the Brain.

Of course, in our Prophets' stories, there is a community that have been cursed by Allah to be monkeys. They disobeyed their Prophet's orders. So, that's why we could see that some of those primates do have some of our physical appearances but not as beautiful as us. Allah told us "Human is the Best and the most Beautiful creation of God". Now you could see, why Darwin could come with those theory. If you're on that theory, it means that, you're from monkeys and those monkeys are the ones who being cursed by God. Naauzubillah....

Think, where to put youself ?. Choose whether you're from monkeys or you're from the descendants of Adam & Eve which is made from grounds and not the one that is cursed by Allah the Almighty...

Qu'ran doesnt say we created from apes, but it clearly shows the stages of Fetus and pregnancy and is widely approved of by scientists in feild of Embryology. and Qu'ran re-establishes the fact that we need a COUPLE -- a man and a woman -- to bring forth life into this world. also some scientists too beleive that Qu'ran has a good explanation for Big Bang Theory and how the dust and gases and all of the materials joined into become a Universe and planets.

the mention of the word land is almost 73-74 time and water about 27-26 times, now we know that the earth has 73:27 of land:water ratio. science today proves what a sperm and is made of and where it attaches itself, but Qu'ran did it long back by sayin --"and We have placed the a clot of sperm in its RESTING PLACE." there is more if we would like to read.

to EarlD-- islam says that an was created from water and soil -- if you would have read and it says in 2 different distinct places. it is science that today proves that sperm and man's body is made of all components that are found in soil and water and water is the major constituent of cytoplasm, protoplasm and plasma. and yes in one place at the Creation of Adam -- Qu'ran mentions that how God breathed His spirit into a clay and said -- Be(Kun) and it was.

Yes, you have to use your brain to think.

The scientific method was developed by Muslims as were universities and many branches of science and scientfic discoveries.

The "scientists" are not just one monolithic set of people or beliefs and "scientists" can also use their intelect to prove "creation" rather than the theory of evolution as proposed by Darwin.

The split between science and religion is a concept invented in Christian Europe.

Islam says life came from the waters. Like it or no they were 1,850 years ahead of the times with that concept.

Judio-Christianity says it was God's breath on the dirt of the EArth.

What part of evolution though? That we were monkeys? maybe not. However, i wouldn't imagine it rejects the idea of evolution totally.
