I just don't think every word of the Bible is accurate. I'm sorry...while I know that many parts have been true, well many have been proven to be inaccurate through science. My point is that I will never believe that someone has the choice of being homosexual or not. I will never believe that a woman "should be submissive" to her husband. I do believe that Jesus died for our sins though. My problem is that I can't go t church w/o being looked down on, etc. Also, I would believe the bible if there weren;t so many contradictions, but I just can't. How can I have a strong faith w/o being ignorant and blinded?

I am interested in one of the ministers at my church. I think he is interested as well, but I am not sure if he knows I'm a single mom. My son goes to church with me, but he may not have made the connection, My son is 12. I am devoted to God, a good mom, educated (six-fugures), but obviously insecure. Do you think he wouldn't be interested because I have a child? The guys I dated in the past never cared, but he is a minister so it's different, I ask because I don't want to go down "that road" and be disappointed.

It's easier for me to just slap some stamps on there than to go the post office and pay the correct postage by weight. If I slap a few stamps on there, do you think that'll cover it (it's just a few pieces of paper that I didn't want to fold up) or will the post office return it to me, insisting that I have it weighed and pay the exact amt?

When did Adam (peace be upon him) live ?? Is ISLAM the only religion which has no contradictions with that because it tells about ZulKarneyn (probably the great Neanderthal king) and Gog and Magog (probably homo erectus with shorter heights) who were humans (of other races) and children of Adam, and NOT the children of apes, because according to the fossil record, NO apes ever lived who had more similarities to humans than the living apes ??

(In christianity Gog and Magog lived only few thousands years ago because the God's Bible was lost so Christians don't know about their time.)

My Lady and I are fighting about the kids again. Her daughter gets away with so many things and it finally got to me. I advised my Lady of how I was feeling and she said I was over reacting. I told her she under reacts, or simply ignore’s anything happing. I care about her daughter and her well being and I’m a very fair person and role model for her children. Financially they are all spoiled and I don’t let my lady take the burden of being a single mother. I pay for groceries, school clothes, cell phones, soccer camp. Down payment on her older son’s truck, etc. Now that my lady told me that she will raise her daughter the way she wants to raise her. I have now decided to remove my self financially. If she will not see our partner ship as beneficial to her daughter then I must back off completely. I will not be bank of girlfriend for her any longer.. Do you think I did the right thing? It's a really simple experiment:

- Try to choose what to think, before you think it.

In other words, see if you can choose exactly what you are going to think before the thought is actually there in your mind.

You can't do it.

Suppose that in 10 seconds' time, Fred Bloggs is going to decide to get up and make a cup of tea - The thought isn't in his head right now, and he can't decide to start thinking about making a cup of tea before he actually *does* think about it, because he would already have to be thinking about the thought of making a cup of tea in order to decide to think it.

So, it seems clear to me that it's impossible to decide what you're going to think before you're actually thinking it. Thoughts come into your mind unbidden, and you cannot control or choose what your very next thought will be.

If we can't choose our thoughts, then we can't choose our conscious actions either, and if we can't choose our actions then there is no free will.
