No amount of effort can stop the clock of history, no one can break the tranny of time. Everyday that passes brings us closer to the dramatic events portrayed in the Bible. We can prepare for the inevitable by putting our time to good use, but we can't stop it. That can be an unsettling thought.
The Prophetic passages of the Bible are filled with frightening scenes and complicated symbols. The book of Revelation is filled with frightening, confusing passages. The Prophecies contained therein reveal technical terms such as The Great Tribulation, The Abomination of Desolation, The Return of Christ, The Great White Throne Judgement, and the Lake of Fire. We may not know everything about the End Times, but the Bible does give us much information.
Christ is the center of God's plan for the End Times.
1. Christ returns for His own.
2. Christ is challenged, the rise of the Anti-Christ.
3. Unparalleled troubles, Christ troubles the nations and Israel.
4. Christ's return to the earth to rescue and judge Israel, and to judge the nations.
5. Christ rules the earth for a 1,000 years.
6. The Final Judgement, Christ defeats His enemies and judges the unbelievers.
7.Christ creates a New Heaven and a New Earth.
Beacause we know that Christ can be trusted, we know that He will keep His promise to return for His own. That event is described in 1 Thessalonians 4: " The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with Him in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air "
The Bible specifies that " all believers of Christ ", the ones who have received Him as personal Saviour in their lives, both the living and the dead, will be resurrected with Christ in the air. The bodies of Christians who have died will rise, be transformed, be reunited with their souls, and taken to Christ's side in the air. Then every living Christian will be removed from earth, " caught up ", to join with the resurrected believers for a great and glorious meeting in the air. Christ will take them to be with Himself, and they will always be with the Lord. This is also viewed in
1 Corinthians 15:51-52. In a split moment, the earth will be emptied of Christians.
The time is not spelled out in prophecy, we are told instead to maintain an attitude and condition of readiness ( Mt. 24:44). Christ taught this attitude of watchfulness in parables during His ministry while on earth. The key element to His parables is that the day of the Master's return could not be known. Because of that, His servants were to maintain constant readiness.
We believe that this event will be the first of the endtime events. It is referred to as " The Rapture of the Church ".
Thoses who are taken from the earth will meet Christ in the clouds and go to be with Him. Then they will stand before Him in judgement. This event is called " The Judgement Seat of Christ ". Paul wrote about it in (2 Corin. 5:10). " We must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad ".
The issue for those at the Judgement Seat of Christ will not be salvation. They are called God's children - forgiven and adopted on the basis of their acceptance of Christ. The purpose is to determine the degree of reward they receive. They will be called into account and receive what is due them ( 2 Corin. 5:10). The primary issue will be faithfulness ( 1 Corin. 4:2,4). This is emphasized in three of Christ's parables; the worker in the vineyard ( Mt. 20:1-16), the talents ( Mt. 25:14-30), and the 10 minas ( Lk. 19:11-27).
Some will receive reward at The Judgement Seat of Christ; others will suffer loss ( 1 Corin. 3:11-15). We are not told what this will involve. There will be no punishment, for Jesus Christ bore all the penalty for our sin on the cross. The " loss " we suffer will be in the receiving of less reward then we could have had.
According to Prophecy, after all the Christians, living and dead, are removed from earth, the next event will be the rise of the Antichrist. The ultimate imposter, and he will gather a huge following and he will be ruled by satan. He will be the cause of untold suffering in the world.
After this satanically empowered leader rises to prominence, the stage will be set for the most distressing period of all history. For 31/2 years, he will conduct a reign of terror, bringing death to many, both Jew and Gentile. But in addition to this reign of terror, the earth will experience unparalleled trouble as God's wrath is poured out on all mankind ( Isa. 13:6-11).
The nations will not go unpunished by the hand of God. They will hate the day that they cast their lot with God's archenemy. Their just punishment will befall them in the 7-year period called " The Tribulation ".
Two sections of the New Testament describe the events of these 7-years: Matthew 24 and Revelation 6-16. These prophetic details indicate how mankind will suffer during this frightening time.
Matthew 24: *false christs *earthquakes *wars & rumors of wars *killing *betrayal *flight *famines *pestilences
Revelation 6-16: The Seals ( Rev.6) *antichrist *war *famine *death *martyrdom *global destruction *the trumpets begin
The Trumpets ( Rev. 8-9) *vegetation destroyed *death at sea *fresh water poisoned *terrible locusts *death by demons
*the bowl judgements begin
The Bowls ( Rev. 15-16) *ugly sores *death of marine life *fresh water contaminated *unbearable heat *darkness and pain *demonic hordes *earthquake and hail
The suffering and death that will befall mankind during the Tribulation is indescribably horrible. Millions will die in the terrible out-pouring of God's wrath. Yet the majority will not repent. Though they ' gnawed their tongue " in agony, they will continue to curse God and refuse to trust in Him ( Rev. 16:10-11). There will be a great many Gentiles however, who will turn to God during the Tribulation ( Rev. 7:9).
There are two purposes for the 7-years of Tribulation, first, is the punishment of the nations, and second is to bring Israel to a place where she can be restored to the position of spiritual favor she once had held in God's eyes. Israel will suffer with the nations, only more intensely. This is the time of " Jacob's Troubles " prophesied by Jermiah. ( Jer. 30:7)
The Tribulation will be a great time of suffering and death for all mankind, but the Jews will be the hardest hit by the terror of those awful days. ( Zechariah 13:8-9). The suffering will bring Israel to repentance ( Ezek. 36:24-28)( Ezek.37 ( valley of dry bones) and ( Zechariah 12:10-11).
The spiritual restoration of Israel as a nation will take place at the return of Christ to earth at the end of the Tribulation period. Christ will return to rescue the Jews from being annihilated by the antichrist. Then the Israel nation will accept Him as their Messiah and Savior ( Rev. 7:1-8). This brings us to the next event of God's program for the endtimes.
Christ will return to the earth. The earth will be filled with turmoil. The antichrist will prepare for a vast military showdown. Evil spirits will draw the nations together for a final battle on the plains of Megiddo ( Rev. 16:12-16). The armies assembled in Palestine will be made up of bloodthirsty men who have resisted God through-out the Tribulation. Both sides -the antichrist and his opponents will hate the people of God. They will engage in a fierce battle at Armageddon. The fighting will reach Jerusalem, and the Jews there will suffer horribly ( Zech. 14:1-2).
Suddenly when all seems hopeless, Jesus Christ will appear in all of His glory and descend to the Mount of Olives. When His feet touch it, the mountain will split in half, forming a vast new valley stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea (Zech. 14:3-9). The Jewish believers will be given super-human strength to fight the Lord's enemies(Zech.12:6-9), God will send a plague on the enemiy soldiers and their animals 9Zech. 14:12,15), and panic will grip the foreign troops, causing them to attack one another (Zech. 14:13).
In Rev. 19:11-21, John provides a beautiful portrait of Christ's second coming. In the meantime the antichrist will rally the armies of earth to attack Him, but they will be defeated. Israel will be rescued. The armed hordes of earth will be destroyed. The antichrist and his cohort will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. Satan, himself will be bound. And the victorious Christ will prepare to ascend to His throne in Jerusalem to rule in peace for a 1,000 years.
Jesus Christ will hold two special judgements at the close of the Tribulation. The first will be for the Jews who survive those terrible days. The Jews who have trusted Him will be received into His kingdom, and those who reject Him will not (Ezek. 20:33-44). A similar judgement will be held for the Gentiles who live through the Tribulation. A shepherd, is used as a metaphor to describe Christ, separating the sheep from the goats. ( Mt. 25:31-46). Believers in Christ (the sheep) will be allowed to enter the Millennial Kingdom; the unbelievers (the goats) will die and await the Great White Throne Judgement.
The battle is over and the armed evil hordes of the earth have been defeated. Jesus has established His throne in the Capital city, rather than returning to His Father in Heaven. He has reinstated the Jews as His people, and He will rule over the earth in a 1,000 year reign of peace, prosperity and righteousness which we call the Millennium ( Rev. 20:4-6). The Old Testament prophecies are filled with details about the new government Christ will establish when He returns.( Jer. 23:5)( Luke 1:32-33)( Rev. 20:4,6)( Isa. 2:1-3)( Isa. 60:10-14)(Luke 1:32) and (Isa. 2:4)( Mic. 4:4)( Jer. 23:5)( Zech. 8:4-5)( Jerm. 23:5-6) and ( Isa. 30:23-26)( Isa. 11:6-8)( Ezek. 47:9-10)( Isa. 35:5-6)( Isa. 65:19-20,22)( Ezek. 47:12) and ( Mal. 1:11)( Ezek. 40:-48)( Zech. 14:16)( Isa. 66:23)( Isa. 60:10-14).
At the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth, satan, who had been locked up during this time will be released. He will immediately gather a huge army of unbelievers together, satan will lead them in battle against the Lord. This will be satan's final act of rebellion. John's description is found in ( Rev. 20:7-10). It all started for him in the Garden of Eden, where he looked with a jealous eye at the throne of God. In pride, he lead a rebellion of angels against God and was cast out of Heaven ( Isa. 14:12-14) and ( Ezek. 28:12-15). From the time of his deception in the Garden of Eden until he was cast into the bottom-less pit, he has brought immeasurable suffering to mankind. Now, after 1,000 years of confinement, his hatred of God has intensified. Hemakes one last, desperate attempt to dethrone the Lord. But in spite of all his power, his fate will be the same as his wicked underlings, the antichrist and the false prophet, everlasting torment in hell.
When satan's last rebellion is squashed, it will be the time for the final judgement. A new heaven and a new earth will soon be appearing, and the last details of earth-business must be taken care of. This judgement will occur at the Great White Throne of God ( Rev. 20:11-15).
We are told that " the dead ", small and great, (v.12) will stand before the throne. Unbelievers of Old Testament days, the church age, the Tribulation, and the Millennium will be there as the books are opened. Those who rejected God's offer of salvation will have sealed ther own fate. They will be cast into the Lake of Fire, which is already inhabited by satan, antichrist, and the false prophet. This is the second death- the eternal death.
When questions of eternal suffering disturb us, remember Abraham's words; " shall not the judge of all the earth do right? then in all faith, we can leave it squarely in His hands!"

A lot has been said about how the Lord is so unmerciful that he would allow and that he would bring death, anger, and untold of suffering to people living today.
A judge in today's society adheres to the law, if it were not so, we would be living in a scarey time with crime running rampart. So too with the Lord, what kind of judge would he be if he were to allow even one of His laws to be broken. He gave us the Law so we could live together peacefully. With all the world's turmoil as it stands today, we can see that we have not kept his laws as well as He wanted us to do.
We know the law by today's standards and we know that if we break the law, we have consrquences. God's court date has been told to us all throughout the Book of instruction he left for us ( the bible), we have been forewarned, so upon that court date, we will have no excuse and even today, because we know, we cannot in all honestly call the Lord unmerciful, because His instructions are fairly obvious if we would take the time and review them. The instructions are clear and precise as to how we should live, possibly if we would abide by these instructions, the world would be a far safer place to live in, sickness would possibly be next to nil, violence would be banished, love would prevail, thus ending strife and uncalled for suffering. Trust would predominate the population and jealousies would be unheard of. My that would be quite a place to live in.

I believe what the Bible says.

There are 3 comings, not 2.

There is Rapture & Revelation. Don't confuse the 2.

Rapture is when Christians are lifted up.

Revelation is Christ (Revealing Himself) for the final battle of armmogeddon.

It is NOT until AFTER the final battle, The "Lost" will be in front of the Great White Throne of Judgment. Christians are already judged. The lost will be in front of the Great White Throne. Christians will be in front of the Judgement Seat of Christ.
.
Why? How can a person be judged now? Where do you go? Heaven has not been created yet. A person goes to God now, after death in the 3rd heaven. The 3rd Heaven is not the New Spiritual Kingdom.(Jerusalem)

The spiritual Jews in Christ will inherit the New Spiritual Jerusalem in the New Kingdom. Gal:3

The New Spiritual Jerusalem is not here yet. The Lake of Fire has not been built yet.
.
There are 8 Different meanings of Hell, that Jesus preached about.

What do these names Sheol, Hades, Gehenna, Queber, Tartarus, Abyss, Hell, and the Lake of Fire mean?

If you understand these terms, you will understand, The END Hell is not here yet.

You will die, and go to where ever you have chosen on this earth. Either heaven with Jesus or hell.
Luke 16:22
the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom
Later on, at the Great White throne judgment, you will be given a formal hearing to show you why you are not going to heaven with the Lord. It appears that this is just before the new heaven and earth.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Christians will not be judged as Christ took their punishment on the cross, so their punishment has been paid.

I believe that after we die everyone enters an unconcious, sleep-like state. We wait in that state until the Second Coming of Christ where were are then judged.

If were judged imediately after death Jesus would have gone straight to heaven instead of spening more time here on earth. Also Jesus has gone to prepare that place for us-it is not finished.

John 20:17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.

John14:2-3 My Father's house has plenty of room; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

(The story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 is a parable.)

I think the best words on judgement were spoken by Frederick Buechner...

"The New Testament proclaims that at some unforseeable time in the future God will ring down the final curtain on history, and there will come a Day in which all our days and all the judgements upon us and all our judgments upon each other will themselves be judged. The judge will be Christ. In other words, the one who judges us most finally will be the one who loves us most fully."

I believe that we only have one shot of this "earth" thing and that is it. We are given all of the knowledge that we are suppose to have and we should live life properly and pray to God everyday that we are worthy of joing Him in heaven. There will be the second coming of Christ but I don't forsee anyone on earth now being here when that day comes.

do u think you'll see that time to be judged after death
have'nt you been judged enough for what you've done in your life and will you recognise yourself as a dog, mosquitoes, lizards or whatever if you will in your second, third, nineth life?
is god really so poorly miserable to re-cycle lives again and again
Stop dreaming bro

Well, before we are judged we have to go through reception, which includes an all you can eat, Vegas-style buffet. That takes an eon, at the very least. After that there is a powerpoint presentation on the basic rules and procedures for heaven, hell, purgatory, and limbo. I'm told that last anywhere from 1000 to 1250 years. Of course, cocktails and refreshments are served. I'm told the coffee and danish are TOO DIE FOR! Only then can we proceed to judgement. Hey, at least we get fed, right?

There are many judgment in the scriptures. At death the Christion will stand at the judgment seat of Christ and the loss person will stand at the white throne judgment.
What are the judgments?

1.The judgment against sin at Calvary. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2.The believer’s daily self-judgment, 1 Corinthians 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 1 Corinthians 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
3.The judgment of Israel in the Tribulation. Hosea 2:12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. Ezekiel 20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
4.The judgment of the nations at the second coming of the Lord. Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
5.The judgment of the Body of Christ at the judgment seat of Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Corinthians 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
6.The judgment of the world at the White Throne. Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
7.The judgment of the prophets and saints that are in the reign of Christ on earth. Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
The judgment of angels by the saints. 1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

No you are dead. Armageddon has to occur first before the judgement is given to those in the book of life and those going to destruction (the second death).
And the meek will inherit the earth.

My understanding of the Bible leads me to believe that judgement will not come at our death but after the Second Coming of Christ, when he separates the "sheeps and the goats".
