How do you view the society that condemns polygamy and yet when they face with gender inequality (in numbers) they encourage polygamy.?

I do not want to mention the name of the country but it is a non-muslim country. They used criticize Islam for allowing polygamy.

Recently there was a shortage of men in this particular country. Women were left unmarried, to solve this problem at the end they encouraged men to marry more than one wife.

So my dear brothers and sisters, every law in Islam has it's own logic behind it. So study before you just accuse the Muslims and Islam.

do asian girls date white guys because they think it is better socially for them? are blacks treated better if their skin is lighter?
do all races subliminally think lighter skin is better? whites make up 10% (maybe a little more) of the WORLD'S population yet, all races seem to think white or light skin is supreme!! including blacks! why is this? why do some asians get cosmetic surgery to have more european features? i play lots of video games, most of the best games come from japan and the trend i have seen is blonde hair blue eyed characters being heros...hardly do i ever see japanese heros in these games and they are made by japanese companies...i dont get it....we all have allowed the world to define who we are as a race socially...politically....class and i mean all races...our societies have mentally screwed us all that lighter is better. and nothing is wrong with being light...but neither is being dark. love yourselves humans....love the skin you are in no matter who u are!!

Mark 11:24:

Matthew 18:19 Jesus says:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

James 5:15-16 the Bible says:
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Why don't these prayers actually WORK like jesus/god says they will.

My proof they don't work? Go to a childrens cancer hospital and pray for every kid.

You can say "god called them home" or he's "testing" people but the verses above DON'T say that.
Is my interpretation wrong? Then why pray?

leads people to have a false sense that there is no consequence to abortion? I mean I know alot of people say well, I wouldn't have one but, I don't refuse another person's right to have one and what I am saying is why would you not have one if there was nothing wrong with it? I absolutely love this part of Yahoo Q&A, getting a chance to defend what I believe. However, lately I am seeing how mean some Christians can be, for example, suggesting athiests take the pitch fork out of their butts. I have to be baptized.... this is not a question to me, nor has it been for as long as I can remember. However, I am having a problem finding a church that will do this without me becoming a member of the church. I know what they say (at the church) that it is an act you do in front of a congregation to affirmate your love and belief in Jesus, The Holy Spirt, and God and that the baptism is for the people of the church as well as the person getting baptized. My thoughts on this are a little different as though I would like to affirm my obedience to God and get baptised but do I have to become a member of something I don't necessarily want to? We pray as a family everyday and learn about God as a family. I would say our faith is strong in God but our faith is not strong in the people who represent him in the church. They are meerly men as you and I and I believe they operate as a business. Please let me know if you know where I can go. Thank you and God Bless the World.

my 16 year old sister was caught at school kissing another girl. at this point my sister is saying that this is the first time she has done this but my mom has completely over reacted to the situation.
at her high school there are a lot of openly gay students and on her colorguard team there are a lot of lesbian girls and the coach is openly gay. my sister has had her share of boyfriends but obviously she curious about her sexuality which i think is normal but how can i try to make my mom understand that my sister may just be experimenting? this is what high school kids do. they experiment with all kinds of things sex, drugs whatever.
in the end, no matter what my sister decides, i will always love her but my mom is so closed minded, i'm afraid how her negative attitude is going to affect my sister.
i've kissed a girl or two in my time and i'm not gay...it was just something i tried. but what do i do about my mom? and how can i comfort and shield my sister from my mom?

who is scared of homosexuals. and i don't mean that in a disrespectful way, i'm just saying, why would someone specifically have a fear of homosexual people?

i think a better word to use is homo-grossed-out, right? what do you think?
