Depends.
If there's something in my life that needs help and someone says they're praying for me in order to help the situation then no, not really, because good energy is good energy.
If it's "I pray that God touches your heart and shows you the light and the error of your ways so you convert to Christianity", then yeah, it annoys me.
I don't pray to my Gods that someone else will suddenly turn away from their faith and follow Paganism, and I ask for the same courtesy in return.

Depends. Some people will say they will pray for you because they are doing it as a sign of respect.. my family who are christian are like that and I am ok with that. Someone who carries the attitude that I am going to hell because I am an agnostic and I NEED to be prayed for only pray out of self-righteousness and I don't need or like those types of people offering up prayers.

Of course it depends on what exactly they are praying for...
As long as it is something good I never find it annoying. I just see it as a deeply felt 'I wish good things for you', and leave it at that.
I feel the same when someone wishes me a happy , its just someone wishing me well in their own way, I take it as such, and thank them for the kindness.

It depends on the context. Implicit in the statement is an assumption that something is wrong with you that needs fixing. If I am sick and in a hospital then I just take it as their silly superstition and don't take offense. If I am perfectly healthy, then they are using it as a veiled put down, which most people would find offensive.

The context in which I see it most is the "stupid child, you don't know what's good for you" context. To me, it's a total lack of respect to me if someone prays for me to change who I am. So yes, it is annoying.

Given that I was using the same logic, I don't think I could be offended by the statement (of course unless it was just blatantly obvious that they were being jerks by saying that) "I'm praying for you." even if I were not Christian - It shows me a general concern for a person's welfare and life. If I'm going to college, I want prayer. If I'm sick, I want prayer. If I'm seemingly perfectly fine, I want prayer.

I depends on the context. When people attempt to use it as their trump card "You don't believe in God? I'm sorry you're going to hell, I'll pray for you." Then its nothing but condescension and self-righteousness. If somebody means it out of actual kindness, then its ok.

I'll take all the prayers I can get. In good times and bad times. I love it when someone prays for me.

No-I can only survive on prayers!
I can tell when someone has been praying for me-you feel it!
I would assume they would have to be atheist to think that!

not at all, I love the fact that I am being prayed for. It means that I am loved and that they are asking God to look out for me. Prayer works and therefore I will take all I can get.
