I make mistakes every day, but I try to live with very few regrets. What good does it do? If I owe someone an apology, I give it, and then try to take corrective action for that particular thing. It is not enough to say "I'm sorry"- you take action as well. The action proves your intent. Sometimes the person I owe an apology to is myself, but I still need to take action.

An interesting thing I try to do, when making a decision, especially life-altering ones: I flip a coin. When I get the answer, I "listen" to see if I am disappointed by the choice. If I am, I know it is not the correct one.

The biggest real mistake I ever made was waiting too long to tell a true love how I felt about him... but because of that, I went on, and filled in my broken heart with service to myself and the world. I feel I am a better person because I dd this. Had my love been in a position to reciprocate, I never would have had many of the wonderful experiences I did. I would have had other ones equally great, I am sure, but I would be a different person.

So, here I am at 31, ready at last to embark on my true calling, and it feels fantastic. Without the bad relationships, broken promises, chance to learn my limits, empty moments, bankruptcy, homelessness, overwork, depression, and failure as a commercial artist, I would not have learned as much as I have about what it really takes to make it.

Interesting question. Thanks!

Mistakes?

1. Not letting some people know how I truly felt about them, especially women.

2. Not taking advantage of my opportunities in school. I coulda been a contendah!

3. Not having made the effort to help others when I could have. Saying or doing something that hurt others when I shouldn't have.

But without mistakes, where else would we acquire wisdom?
And it is very hard to prevent mistakes. It's hard to undo mistakes. Best remedy is to not repeat them.

I have made lots of mistakes in my life, but you can't always prevent them. You can do your best to always do the right thing, but no one is perfect. With each mistake you grow a little and learn a little. None of us would be who we are today without the lessons learned from the mistakes we've made.

Nothing.

We need to make mistakes or else we would be perfect. That would not be good. One of my favorite authors mentioned that perfection is "static" and will be replaced with something imperfect. I agree with that. We would lead VERY boring lives. There would be no excitment or challenge. I am fine with being imperfect with a life full of mistakes!

many mistakes..did nothing to prevent them....that is why they are mistakes...because I made them......trying to correct some....others just aren't as important as they seemed before with passage of time......

greatest ....letting someone I care about leave, or should I say , pushed him out of my life.....pride and ego ....my biggest downfalls...those I am working on....

regrettably for me, i replaced into referred to a Christian by making use of Christian grandparents. I went to church each and every Sunday with them and replaced into informed to have faith with out even thinking the alternative, that God did not exist. It lasted with me till approximately mid 2009. Then i began out thinking for myself. thinking God. thinking the existence of God. i might in no way as quickly as been talked to by making use of God, as an occasion. all human beings around me replaced into asserting how that they had. Then i began out to word the hypocrisy in the human beings around me too. I nevertheless ought to circulate to that church on Sundays, using fact i'm not out of the atheist closet to my grandparents. i'm somewhat scared what'd ensue to me if I informed them. i think of that they had a minimum of disown me somewhat. i've got began reducing my ties, as an occasion, not likely to the church's childrens club any extra. i've got informed my mothers and fathers i'm an atheist, yet I daren't tell any of my pals who're Christian for worry of them telling my grandparents for me. besides, i think of being a Christian has made no universal distinction to my existence, different than now being nervous of disclosing my atheism to my grandparents. i replaced into referred to in a stable relatives. they have taught me my morals, not my ex-faith. i don't think instilling non secular thought at a youthful age is in any respect stable. It, in effect, forces them into being non secular. i don't think that to be suitable or suited.
