What kind of costume would work with my pregnant belly? I was thinking of being a pregnant nun, but that might not look good-after all, I have a 5 year old, so I'll be trick or treating with him...

You could be a:
Pumpkin, dress in an orange warm up suit embellished with black felt pumpkin features and cut green leaves out of felt for a hat.
Gumball machine: Red sweat pants, white shirt with felt circles for gumballs and a red sweater cap.
Gypsy: Usual costume of flouncy quilter skirt and white blouse but make your tummy the crystal ball,
Magic 8 Ball: Dress in a black sweat suit and have a large felt white 8 on the shirt, wear a white apron with triangles that say "Maybe" and "Could Be"
Alien: Green sweats and silver antenna
Dough girl: White sweats and a white bonnet don't forget to wear a button that says Pillsbury
That's all I could think of - hope it helps.

A friend of mine got a reallllllly big dress from a second hand store and stuffed it with inflated balloons. You couldn't tell her belly from the other bulges. She walked around saying "I am realllly pregnant!" It was a hoot!
Guess you gotta think of a way so the balloons don't fall out the bottom. Hmmmm...maybe she sewed or fastened it around each leg.

I'm sure the thought of pumpkin has already been suggested. How about an apple? You could always be a fruit of the Spirit. Or maybe a baseball.

Go as Peter Peter the pumpkin eater. Get a pageboy type outfit and be the young man who swallowed the pumpkin

A camel.

Or don a plaid hunting shirt, seed cap, dungarees, and cradle a six-pack and toy rifle to resemble half the male population of Montana. Your baby-safe will pass well for an average beer-gut.

You could dress up as a big, scary monster. You belly will be covered by such a large costume. but dont strain too much weight on it either.
