i have been a christian for many years however i haven"t been following through on bible studies and such. i want to go in slowly sort of get my feet wet and try to take it a little bit at a time. any ideas on sites or books to check out that can help me?

Why do Christians misunderstand the meaning of the word faith and attempt to replace its meaning with the word fact?

For instance they say that their bible is the fact that they use to say God exists but you have to have faith to believe; is this not in itself a contradiction in terms?

Im christian, but im worried about the bad image other christians keep handing out to themselves, and to the name in general, being mean and unaccepting of anything different. For those of you who do tis, you arent making people "see the light" your doing just the oppisite. If you want to make christianty look good, then act somewhat christian. Lets not make ourselves look like fools, lets put out the good word in a good way

Well it does. WE simply can't dispute that there is a higher power in the universe. Even if lightning and mutation had caused the first spar of life on earth, there is no explaining how the raw materials that made life even came into existence. DOn't you think that it's strange how matter just decided to appear? a new scientific THEORY suggests that there are 11 dimensions in the universe. So what are 3D scientists with their three dimensional brains supposed to know about the creation of an 11 dimensional higher being. Speaking of theories, Evolution is one to. They say we can't test Creationism, but they can't test evolution either. Science is what you can experiment with, not what you just assume about the past. And no matter how you attack my statement, you have to accept the fact that evolutionists are just as narrow minded as Creationists. They weed out every possibility that there is a Creator and refuse to look at the evidence backing the opposing theory.

I woke up and the monsters had charged me in my bed... they surrounded me and demanded I turn over my new Victorias Secret bra and all my catalogues or I will never see my IPOD again. I took it off to make them believe I was giving it to them and then suddenly popped them with it..stunning them temporarily with the elastic...then ran for the closet. Im barricaded in here now but my only hope is to make a run for it thru the monsters crowd as they bang on the closet door and somehow make it into the bathroom. My cell phones in there and I can call my BF for help.... Any advise for a diversion so I can fling the door open and run for it ? Either that or I could run for my Moms bedroom..but how would i explain all these little screaming critters that follow me into her room ?

The big bang for example ..... its the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Thats like putting ink, blank pages and a printer in a little room, blow it up and you would get a book.
