I don't know about regifting, or giving the gift to another person, but I don't mind going to a store and exchanging (or donating to something like Goodwill or Salvation Army) for another item, but I guess that's kinda indirectly the same thing.

I have regifted many times, some people also call it recycling - I mean, is it fair to toss a perfectly good item you were given because you will never use it? Or better to give that item to someone who really Will use it!
Re-gifting is just fine :) So long as you don't end up giving that gift back to the person who gave it to you!

i have regifted like last year my husband got 3 set of the same cologne and didnt even like it so we gave it out as birthday presents to the brothers and brother in law. I think it is ok to regift if you get something you like but know somebody else that would like it, i mean why let something go to waste

It's the thought that counts.. anyone who regifts is an animal, incapable of thought.

I do, if I see that someone else needs it more. There are some things that I know for a fact I' ll never use, so I save it, and when I see someone that might really enjoy or need, I give it away.

I don't think I ever have, but only because I often forget who gives me what and I'm afraid I would give it back to the person that gave it to me.
