So im sitting in class oneday and a black friend made a comment about my race. So i made one back at him. He seemed more offended then I did. So I ask him "whats the problem" He answers me "you can't say that my people are oppressed."
I then explained to him that my people (irish catholic) have suffered more than the africans. After all we have been persecuted for 600 years as opposed to there 250. Also, our persecution continues today. So tell me your thoughts on this subject. And if whether or not you think that people can't say things about black people.

Just because someone is overweight does not make them stupid and not allow them to realize their current situation. So why do other people have to be mean and call people "fat pigs" or other things? Is it just to try to hurt their feelings? I just witnessed this at work and it disgusts me at how mean and pathetic people can be. Why can't people just live and let live?

I read the bible to three 11year old girls.. and explained a few things to them as they asked me questions and i answered them..they were all excited to hear about jesus and asked to pray..we prayed for eachother and they all asked jesus into their hearts..the next morning i found one really upset crying for her parents.. upset that she was a christian and they were not worried that her parents arnt going to go to heaven..what do you tell a young girl?how do you explain it..

I got a VIOLATION because I answered a question with a one word reply "wow..." The question was obviously from a very "emotional" girl who was jealous of her bf's ex-gf. I wish I could remember her series of questions (on a single post), but it was to the tone of "is his ex jealous of me? why is she still calling him? why is he calling her? should i do something to her?" and so on. I was just taken by surprise with her questions, and rather than telling her that she might be the one who is jealous, I just remarked a simple answer to "hint" to her that she was a bit overreacting and way out-of-it.

Anyone else get these stupid violations? In hindsight, I should have answered with "you are a crazy jealous girlfriend and I hope your bf leaves you for his sake"

that is predominately White, the white people start to move out? Christians would find life very short in Saudi Arabia and other like minded countries. Why should we be so tolerant to other demanding religions that want to wipe out all except themselves?

Jesus preached from a place of total pacifism. His actual apotheosis was achieved by total submission to the will of His Father: unto Death. And as Christians, we are called to live in 'Imitation of Christ'.

On an important level, how can the Islamic and Christian ideologies co-exist, if Islam will allow for violence, even if in self-defence? Both faiths have numerous examples of people abusing the codes of life and respect their founders have laid down: what I'm asking is not what their followers have done or said.
