Christians would find life very short in Saudi Arabia and other like minded countries. Why should we be so tolerant to other demanding religions that want to wipe out all except themselves?

Is our tolerance being mistaking foir stupidity by these foolish primitive terrorists?

In the US, Muslims have every right to practice their false religion, just as you have the right to practice your false religion.

It's called the Freedom of Religion. The reason anyone came to live here is to practice free religion. To get rid of that principle would go against everything this country was founded on. What makes our country so great is our tolerance towards others, or our supposed tolerance of others... Just keep an open mind, what would you do if there were more Muslims in the U.S. and they all of a sudden told you you couldn't practice your faith?

The US still has freedom of religion, granted because that's why the Pilgrims left England in the first place. Supposedly you're able to practice whatever faith you like, granted by the first amendment. So, no, no matter how much you hate a particular religion, it will never happen. If it should, then Christians, Catholics, Jews, Mormons, Baptists, Protestants, and every other religion (including Paganism and Wicca) would also no longer be allowed to practice. Is that fair?

Showing intolerance towards any religion would be a major set-back in individual rights. If any one of the religions are simply banned, then who is to say that any religion couldn't suffer the same fate. This may also apply to other areas such as race. How would you truly differentiate in this case?

Intolerance is something we must try at all costs to avoid. But, not to be mistaken, there is a difference between the intolerance of an entire religion as compared to fighting a specific mindset that may be claiming that religion as a part of its lifestyle. Think about it, even Christianity has had it moments of when it too was greatly intolerant, such as in the Inquisition and earlier times.

Yes, we do not have to entirely agree with their cultural views, but we don't have to follow along their path. TO do so would be proving that their way was the correct one and not the current attempts of being open as we try to be.

Mosques are no problem.

The problem is the false translations of the Quran by Muslim and Christian scholars and universities that translate the Arabic to include Jesus and Jews and Christians that do not really exist in the Arabic of the Quran and therefore make a warped form of Scripture that produces a warped form of Islam.

Christianity therefore contributes to their own terror.

USA and UK should insist on banning all false traslations of Qutran and permitting only the purity of the Quran in all places of learning and on all websites and only then will the fear of terrorism be lifted.

Words like Jesus and Jews and Christians are a falsification of the Quran. along with many other fallacies that need to be addressed for Islam to be Islam.

um ... there were people living on the N. American continent long before Christians showed up and wiped out their cultures, traditions, languages and religions.

Christianity is a demanding religion and fits in the "primitive terrorist" category too.

no... what? Ok, firstly, do you think Christ would act this way? Secondly, why is your attitude any different than that of those in Saudi Arabia? It is not so much tolerance, it is supposed to be about loving your neighbor. The people have moved here because they felt safe here. Why take that away from them? So we can get back at another country who did it to our people? That's not right. Love thy neighbor. God bless, peace be with you.

In the U.S., at least, because we have freedom of religion.

Throwing away the freedoms that we're so proud of here would be a serious mistake. Why would we want to reduce our country to that level? We're better than Saudi Arabia BECAUSE of these freedoms.

Jerk. Just because other countries oppress certain religions doesn't mean it's okay for you to as well. Two wrongs don't make a right. And you say you have a problem with religions that want to wipe out all others, yet isn't that exactly what you want to do by banning mosques?

Why stop there? Why not ban all religious buildings altogether?
Islam is not the only religion that has had terrorists acting in the
name of religion. Ever hear of the Irish Republican Army?

Are you kidding me? First of all, Islam itself is not a terrorist religion just because some idiots took it too far, just as Catholicism itself is not a terrorist religion just because some idiots blew up abortion clinics in its name. Second of all, Muslim countries are based on their religion, so it makes sense that other religions wouldn't find tolerance there. Our country was specifically formed to NOT have a national religion. All religions are welcome. It was, like, one of the founding principles of the United States, Dude. Read up a bit on our nation's history, okay?
