muy is regarding a subject's quality, like "very"
mucho refers to quantity, like "many" or "much"
Chica and muchacha are different words for "girl".

Muy and Mucho : examples
Yo soy muy estudiosa (i ´m a student who studies a lot)
Yo estudio mucho (i study a lot)
mucho is for quantities
and muy is to qualify nouns
like: él es muy lindo
(he is soo cute)
El me gusta mucho (i like him a lot)
And the difference between chica and muchacha depends on the country but for ex. in Argentina we use chica o muchacha ... sometimes chica is informal an muchacha you can use it in a phrase meaning a young women but is more formal.

gatas is for female cats and it doesn't sound good, in Mexico it would means if you like a "type of girls" ( like with no manners for example)

Chica is an adjective and means small and it means too teen girl, young woman.
casa chica = small house
taza chica= small cup
Esa chica es muy linda= that girl is very nice.
For male you say Chico
Muchacha means young woman too...
Esa muchacha me gusta= i like that girl.
Ella es una muchacha muy buena= she's a very good girl.
You say muchacho for male.

¿Te gustan los gatos? For general questions in plural you always use the masculine (male) form "gatos" in this case.
If you want to specifically know if someone likes female cat it is correct to say "las gatas", but it sounds better if you say "gatitas"

Muy is for things that you can't count (muy intelligente...) and mucho is for things that you can (tengo muchos anos).

"Muy" is used like "very" in English eg. Muy grande( Very big ), muy chico ( very small), muy lejos (very far), muy cerca (very close) etc.
"Mucho" is used like the English "much" or "a lot" eg. Mucho trabajo (much, or a lot of work), mucho tiempo (much, or a lot of time). mucho dinero ( much, or a lot of money), etc.
"Chica" means "small" ( anything small of femenine gender) it could be a small girl, or you could say "una piedra chica" ( a small stone), una montaña chica ( a small mountain),una casa chica (a small house) etc. Colloquially it is used to refer to all girls. eg. Nuestras chicas (our girls), colegio de chicas ( girls' school).
"Muchacha" is more specific in that it refers to a "young female". In some areas the term "muchacha" is used to refer to a female servant.

I would give a vote for "willgvaau" since I agree with everything he translated (on the money) but I can't because I don't have enough points yet. What I would like to add is that Pink is not rosa because rosa is a rose and rosado would be the colors name and since we r on the subject let me add that I heard a lot of Spanish speaking Latins say " color cafe" for the color "brown" when the color's name is "Marron" or else what they are really saying with "color cafe" is "coffee color".
