Maybe North Korea plans to commit suicide and take everyone including us with them. Grand scale kamikaze.

I live in Japan, so it seems especially scary. I have to wonder, "What on earth is Kim Jong Il trying to prove? That he's certifiably nuts?" I seriously picture him sitting around all day...bored to tears...trying to think of something amusing to do. What a waste...

I'm sorry he hasn't learned from history that if you play with fire, you will get burned. Other nations are not going to put up with this much longer...and I doubt he wants war because that will be the end of North Korea.

First of all, it is just a unconfirm story the North Korea says. It can be psychological game they play.

Secondly, it is not even close to the end of the world. North Korean sounds like a psycho but they are scared and afraid to die. Consider this, they want a bi-lateral meeting with US. They want a peace treaty from US about not to invade the North Korea.

They are panic themselves because of the stupid thing they said and did before. Now everyone hate them including the Chinese and the Russian. They need to avoid being invade by trying to scare every one else.

But I think the current North Korean regime is running out of time. It's days are numbered.

But it is not even close to the end of the world.

Korean nuclear tests is not the first test in the world. It is only one of the tales from the first one.
We can not judge the Korean by using double standards. All of us still remember when France did a nuclear test and whole the world protested but we knew what the result was. If for France we did nothing but saying, what's wrong with Korean. We can not say because France in West and Korean in East.
The best idea is from John Lenon that he disagrees with war, so we have to ask our self what function these nuclear for. If for the mankind welfare, I think this is not the end of time. But for others, yes I agree.
I read biography of Albert Einstein that he regret why he is the one who invented these horrible things. I am sure, he is very happy and glad when his invention is used for mankind welfare.
For Survivors, better not happened. We have to control our self not others. When we control others, chaos must be happened.
Talking about nuclear is similiar with boys with a toy and we have to act as their parents in another side boys would not hear anything what their parents say.

A dear friend of mine who past away this last summer, was in the Korean war. One day he and I were talking about what is going on with the wars and such, when suddenly he became quite. I asked my friend what was wrong? He finally looked up and said, "a lot of people believe we are going to have the "big" one with the countries we're involved with "right now", but that isn't true. I asked what he meant, and he said that North Korea was not finished with us (USA) and they were very angry at us, and not too far from now they will show the USA, just "how" angry! He said the North Koreans were not to be trusted....and I believe he is totally right. God help us all.

It's a much bigger problem for Japan, China and Russia than it is for us. NK's missiles likely don't work very well and can't reach us yet despite media reports. They know they can;t attack us directly because we have nukes too but they CAN attack South korea and they have an army that is 5 times or more larger than ours but the LAST thing they want is a fight with us so I'm not especially worried
