I'm English. I put petrol in my car and burn gas in my cooker.
Americans put gas in their cars. What do they burn for home cooking/heating?

Should the focus be on what the government should do, what communities should do, or what we as individuals should do? What does "quality of life" mean to you anyway? In short, what kind of life would you realistically want for yourself as you age- do you want to be with your family, in a group of old people, active in society or community, completely independent, or... what?

Essay outline, Jonathan Edwards.?
I have to write an essay about how Jonathan Edwards supports one of the 5 points of calvinism (I have to choose one). My paper is to be based on Sinners in the hands of an Angry God. I need an outline to follow. Any other ideas or tips for an A paper would be appreciated.

I'm considering having a sit-down dinner at my house, a little more sophisticated and dressy than a regular party. But that's not the problem, the problem is with invitations. A good friend of mine just moved into an apartment with two other people the rest of us know from high school, but don't really see anymore. Now that our good friend is moved in with these two old "somewhat" friends, what do I do about them regarding the party? Do I invite them too? I know he'll want to know if they're being invited ... it's not like they're bad people, but we don't really talk to them anymore (one we haven't seen since graduation almost 7 years ago) and I don't know where I would put them anyway!

Ok, so any thoughts?

I think it's a set phrase, but I can't find a translation of it anywhere. Context is a novel about a train. It says that no one knows how much they need to pay for a ticket anymore and even the ticket inspectors "s'y melangent les pinceaux". Any help would be greatly appreciated, and, please, no literal translations! Thank you!

If you stay in a cabin house near a dirty pond then you may be attacked by mosquitoes that breed in that pond.
There are two ways to deal with the problem:-
1)fence your house with mosquito nets, apply lotions to prevent mosquitoes from biting you and other such methods etc.
2)Go to the dirty pond cover it with sand and soil and disinfect the area.
All of you know that any form of terrorists/ terrorism is driven by ideology. Many terrorist groups in this World are political and mostly target Government Officials and Civil personnel.
But you also know that Islamic terrorist target on grounds of religion.
In the Past when there were no strong social institutions like Police
A lot of Bloodshed was spread in many countries by muslim armies for conversion(Zorastrians have fleed to India, and in Iran the Zorastrians have fleed to the Mountanious area)
Terrorism is the Frustration of Muslims over there inability to impose themselves on people of other religion.

So when will Go to the dirty pond cover it with sand and soil and disinfect the area.

But then, one have to move on with the times in todays' world. So what do you think? Should i go for it? Have fun, live life to the fullest? Or be a good little Muslim girl? I'm 20 by the way.

As I understand the creationist arguement; God created all creatures about 6000 years ago. Archeological evidence suggests that Dinosaurs existed as creatures who used to live in the past. So man must have coexisted with dinosaurs as he was created only a day or two after all the beasts of the field.
The bible goes on to say that Noah collected two of every animal and put them in the Arc to save them from the Great flood. Does that mean he had two Brontosaurus, two Stegarsauruses, two Tyrannosaurus Rexes along with his wife and 3 sons and their wives. If so he must have carried a lot of food to feed them, and good security to stop them feeding off him.
Maybe my logic, is failing can someone help?

Ok I am 25, not religious at all and just having a bad time at the moment. I am losing sleep and everything makes me think about death. No I am not thinking of killing myself, I am not meaning I think about it that way. I just keep constantly thinking why bother, why are we here, what is the point? I am probably lucky if I get another 50 years but then what? Where do I go other than in the ground? I cant force myself to believe in god but I dont know what to do. Its consuming me. Things I read, seeing old people, watching tv, everything makes me think about it. Please someone tell me that I am not the only one that feels like this? Tell me that I am not crazy. Give me some ideas on what to do...

I thought just struck me earlier while I was meditating on a prayer. It's more popularly known as the prayer of Jabez. I read a book about it and how it has create wonders that changed the world.

I was reminded of a particular movie I once saw for my theology class. I dont remember the title, but it had the tag line, "BUILD IT AND IT WILL COME" and that's exactly what Im doing now.

I enjoy doing volunteer/charity work in orphanages and homes for the elderly whenever i can, but since I belong to a third world nation, funding has always been my problem. I have some friends from the US who help me out, and Im just wondering if there will be others who are willing to help, in their own little way.

We dont really have public libraries here and I was thinking of starting up a children's library and I would need (old) book donations.
Would there be caring people out there who'd be willing to help me out?

I've done it b4 in the past but my lifestyle was different then. I was living what you might call "The fast life" drugs, alcolho, men and women. I have a daughter now, and my meaning for life has changed. I'm afraid if I don't, he'll prolong getting married, and if I do we'll end up not getting married. I want to so that he can stop asking but I don't think it's good for our relationship.
