When your children are young, you give them encouragement and belief in themselves.
Christians encourage their children and put the fear & belief of god into them.

You've covered numerous points here. I hear your heart. It sounds like you have good intentions but can be a bit foolish out of simply not knowing - or maybe some not caring. Either way, Love is our calling and it does happen to be directly related to Jesus Christ, the manifestation of love. Christians above all should walk in love. Unfortunately, many of us Christians are simply redeemed sinners who are as imperfect as the next guy. God will work in our hearts and gradually teach us His ways - which is love, but sadly you might run into those who are brand new and babies in their faith. Then there are non-Christians who walk in love pretty well but don't know God personally and have never been redeemed for their sins - no matter how minor a sinner they may be. They are likely to be very courteous despite being an atheist. They are nice but aren't Heaven bound because only the redeemed sinners can enter.

It appears your desire is for camaraderie and that shows some good qualities are within you. You obviously desire for people to treat each other well even though you may offend others unintentionally. This is all good. But this shouldn't be your primary desire. Your biggest concern is where you'll spend eternity. If it's not the better of the two choices, you won't see an inkling of courtesy ever....for eternity. Everyone will be too busy dealing with the pains of hell.

On behalf of all christians - with or without their permission - i'm sorry for how some of us treat you. But just like you feel offended at how they treat you, they feel the same way when u make crude jokes or laugh at them. I read sumwhere that "to have friends, you have to be a friend." Just some good advice, do what u want others to do to you. If u want christians to be nice to you, try being nice to them. After all, no one likes what he/she seriously believes to be made fun of. Once again, i apologize for the seemingly rude and impolite behavior of some christians

If you haven't encountered a Christian who was courteous to you, I'm very sorry. Those kinds of people are NOT what Christianity is about. I'm a sincere Christian and my roommate is an atheist, and we've been courteous to each other from the beginning. Christianity is not about prejudice, it is about love. And I'm sorry if you've only experienced the former.

An Atheist is a person who does not believe in God! Atheism does not have any one set of moral ideas!

Immorality can happen among any group of people, whether or not they follow a religion.

Religions usually say how people should behave in order to be happy together or to please God.

If you are doing good to others, good for you! But Jesus is the ultimate Saviour!

"Christianity is not a religion; it is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ."

A christian acceptes Jesus as their savior, repents of their sins, and obey God's laws, and are children of Him.. An atheist does none of those things and are the child of the devil.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Christians - accept Jesus Christ as their savior (God)
Atheists - don't believe in God
Agnostics - maybe there is, maybe there isn't - not gonna waste my time trying to figure it out

all of this shouldn't matter at all when it comes to your friends, friends are friends no matter what

Chritians believe in Jesus Christ, and Atheists believe in themselves.
All humans can, and most do peform outward acts of goodness. These do not determine a belief in one god or another.
