No, and this question is in the wrong place ;-)

MacArthur -- regardless of his skills as a commander -- forgot the cardinal rule of the American military, to whit, CIVILIAN CONTROL OF THE MILITARY.

His arrogance led him to try to pit himself against the President and quite rightly, he lost.
