Everytime someone asks a question regarding how to get acceptance from people, be it friends, dates, employers, etc, it seems like the automatic response is for everyone to spit out "Be Yourself!!" I've followed that advice all my life, I've never actually tried to change myself, but I have no friends, never had a boyfriend and everyone around me seems to get annoyed at me and people avoid me. So I'm being myself, and it's scaring everyone off. It's been like this my whole life (even during early childhood) and I go to school in a very large city in HUGE schools. So, should I NOT be myself?

I'm on jury service and I can't decide if the defendant is guilty or not. What do you think? I wish I could give you the details but I can't. So in your opinion should I let the poor unfortunate guy go or send him down for a long stretch?

I tend to see a pattern on this site. The religion of Christianity is often argued, bashed, critisized, and spoken harshly against compared to any other religion. Granted, i have seen quite a few people degrade those of the Islamic and Jewish faiths as well, but not to the great extent as that of Christianity. I also have noticed that when a Christian speaks back to defend their faith, they are critized for trying to convert?

Why is this?
Why is it wrong to defend your faith, or to have faith at all?
And does it seem that some athiests on this site want to convert Christians than vice versa?

please, honest and serious answers only

When the male vocal chords are obviously meant for a much deeper tone and sound, it just seems unnatural to me. For that matter why do most Homosexuals behave in a very effeminate manner? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Homosexuality, in fact I know some guys who are gay but act like, well, men. In other words you wouldn't know that they were gay by there behaviour. And I have nothing but respect for them, their lifestyle is their own.. But it just seems "forced" when a man acts like a woman. Opinions welcomed:)

My mother-in-law will invite family over for the holidays and has us bring all but the meat. After dinner she gets up from the table and goes to the living room to relax, expecting, and demanding, that the dishes get done and the food put away. I want to say no in such a way as to let her know that the hostess does the dishes and the food clean-up, and guests can offer to help should they want to. I am tired of being the one who has enough manners to do them.

I was looking for a costume for my daughter who is only a year old and it was creeping me out how many costumes they have for girls that are slutty looking. I saw all these slutty costumes I was sure where for an adult and they were for young girls, what in the world is going on? I know I would never let my 12 year old daughter dress up like a dominatrix, but the costume is out there. When did halloween change from being a fun kid holiday to a chance to look like a stripper in public and get away with it for a night, and for little girls, WTF?

Does this happen when they are young kids - and their parents spoil them - and teach no humility? Or is it when they are teenagers and find they get more attention if they are loud and obnoxious - and their friends are afraid to tell them to be quiet? Or maybe it's when they play sports that require overpowering their opponent?

I don't know when it happens, but I just spent a week on a fishing trip with four men - and they were all so full of themselves. Huge egos. Loud. Argumentative. Self-centered. I pity their wives and blame thier mothers. I know not all men are this way - but where are the normal people?

Especially the female naughty bits? Women generally don't really do this (not really), but men have a gazillion names for the you-know-what. I just read a question from this one guy asking about the "growler". Ok people, let's hear it. What's your favorite name for both the male and female "thingys"?

The word "Christian" means one who believes in Jesus, right? And the word "Muslim" means one who submits himself to god, right?

So, since both muslims and christians submit themselves themselves to god, and both of them believe in Jesus. Shouldn't Islam and Christianity just be considered to be two sects of the same religion? Well people, what do you think of my proposal?

Why do some preachers spend hours on television begging for money?

In order to sew a seed and receive blessing from God do you actually have to give money to the rich preachers, using hours of television time begging for money? I would rather give my money to the poor. Someone that needs it. Could you imagine me over here driving a 2000 neon, giving the preacher guy/lady with the cadillac escalade 20 dollars LOL. That would just be plain funny. Sometimes i turn the tv there thinking im gonna get to hear soemthing positive and most of the time i just find them asking/begging for money AND TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU TO SEW A SEED. Dr. Phil has more positive coming from his show then theirs. I know God likes to bless his people but you shouldnt have to beg for it for hours on tv. I refuse to give my 20 bucks to someone that drives a mercedes benz and has a 500 dollar suit on while im over here 40 dollars suits. I would rather go to the little church down the road and pay them my tithes. Anyways what do you think about this issue?
