No. My personal moral code is not dependent upon the unknown. I'm a Christian, but I also believe very much in living in the here-and-now. In this life, there are certain actions that one refrains from (if, indeed, one is possessing a rational mind) both for the sake of one's own personal development, and for advancing the society as a whole. And if people only performed acts of charity because of a belief in eternal punishment for not doing so, what a sad world it would be.

I tell you the truth, even if you don't believe in a God,
living the life of Christianity is still the very best kind of
life, with many blessings coming your way. You give
to others less fortunate and it all comes back to you
twice over. It's a great life. I personally do believe in
an eternal life after this life on earth, but if it should not
happen, I am living a great life on this earth. I have great
children, husband, grandchildren, and I have traveled
and saw the beauty of this and other Countries, I'm
healthy, enjoy our freedoms and what more could a person
want?

The one who lives his life for getting some favors and keeps away from enjoying it for fear of being punished in after-life is indeed to be pitied. He does not live life his attention always towards the rod that would fall . If as the Bible says man is given Free Will God did trust him that he could take care of himself.Even supposing he erred God is no taskmaster always noting your movements to punish you for some supposed infringement. Those who think so even if their profess to be believers are not believers in the true sense of the word.God has given you free will, the freedom to act in the best way you can.Since this is the case you are to decide your own rules and amend them if found necessary. Nor could behaviours which are not commensurate with the revised rules be considered as sins because they were quite in order earlier. So live life freely and let others also do the same .

No, that would really be lame! There's a book you might want to read if you are indeed interested in this:

No.

If you were to take the time to study God's Law, you would conclude that the law is good.

If any society were to follow God's Law, it would achieve peace and prosperity.

God loves us and gave us His law for our benefit, not his.

Do you really think God relishes striking you down with lightning when you have a ham sandwich?

Ezek 33:11
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live:
KJV

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
KJV

I believe that God is the creator of the universe. He created it with the purpose of humans living life forever on earth. Then, Satan and other rebellious angels ruined it for everyone. The creator, being unlimited in power, won't let it happen that way forever. I believe as the bible speaks of a limited number of people going to heaven to rule as kings. If God just let Satan have his way, then that would mean that he isn't almighty in the universe then, would it? There is no eternal torture of those who are rebellious. It goes tottally against a "God of love."

If we are Christians, and we live that life ONLY because fo what we are going to get out of it, or because we are scared of Hell, then we didn`t really get saved at all, which could be the reason SO many people call Christians fake, and hypocrites, When you really get saved, you love doing the right thing, and sin is what, and the only thing you hate.

i'd favor to believe that I worship God because i like him with my total heart and soul, yet i'm no longer particular, as i examine the bible and particular do love the benefits he has for us in heaven and the Hell challenge (punishment) does scare me somewhat. So i imagine for the most section all 3. In different words, i like him yet I actually have a deep recognize of him and his skills to punish us and to also raise us as a lot because the honour of being with him..

Nope. Maybe I'm just weird, [scratch that, I AM weird] but I don't really enjoy getting drunk, hanging out with druggies, stealing stuff from others, and doing most all of the other stuff non-christians seem to enjoy. Why do atheists behave themselves?

BUT, with christianity, no matter what you do that is evil, you can always repent and still get your reward. Pretty easy.

Ahteists can't got to heaven, but serial killers can.
