Why do some preachers spend hours on television begging for money?

In order to sew a seed and receive blessing from God do you actually have to give money to the rich preachers, using hours of television time begging for money? I would rather give my money to the poor. Someone that needs it. Could you imagine me over here driving a 2000 neon, giving the preacher guy/lady with the cadillac escalade 20 dollars LOL. That would just be plain funny. Sometimes i turn the tv there thinking im gonna get to hear soemthing positive and most of the time i just find them asking/begging for money AND TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU TO SEW A SEED. Dr. Phil has more positive coming from his show then theirs. I know God likes to bless his people but you shouldnt have to beg for it for hours on tv. I refuse to give my 20 bucks to someone that drives a mercedes benz and has a 500 dollar suit on while im over here 40 dollars suits. I would rather go to the little church down the road and pay them my tithes. Anyways what do you think about this issue?

You've got it right, the money beggars are just like the ones Christ ran out of the temple. There are a few big time preachers who still live humbly and do the right thing but very few like Allistair Begg and John McArthur. They don't beg for money though and God blesses their ministries anyway. How about the multi-million dollar buildings? Come on.... Why won't a metal building built energy effiently work? Why does it have to be adorned with brick and steeples and crap, God doesn't live there. Give me the metal building and take care of the orphans in the neighborhood, feed the homeless, take care of the widows. Do what God said to do with the money.......

I agree with you: go to the little church down the road and give them your tithes. A person can "sew a seed" in their own community or church that will probably benefit people more directly than giving money to televangelists.

1. Judge not, unless you want to be judged and in the same manner you have judged others. 2. It is best to first give to your local chuch. 3. Ministries have bills. 4. God has greatly prospered some of the big ministries but they did NOT start out that way. In fact, they had many years of poverty for the good of the gospel. 5. God does not want his children to be poor. That is a lie from the pit of hell. He does expect to be first in our life.

I think English would be a course necessary before marketing.
