Wouldn't it be good to have an international forum on a frequent basis where religious leaders from around the world get together to resolve their misunderstandings and ignorance of each others once and for all?
It must be a forum where everyone engage in peaceful understanding of one another by totally opening up without taking offence at any sort of bashing. It is peaceful understanding where everyone learn of each others' differences and why they are different. From this, everyone'll understand why others do wnat they do. And find out if what others believe and practise are more appropriate than what we ourselves believe and practise, leaving no room for blind conformity. And this forum shouldn't be a place to convert, but to resolve differences.
I suggest this because many times we got into superior-inferior mentality by proclaiming our religion as the best, the original, the highest, the truest, etc. We sound like we are already very familiar with the other religions as well as our own and have come to the conclusion that our own religion is still the best. When questioned, we usually don't even have the slightest correct idea of the teachings of other religions besides our own. And made vague statements based merely on light observation. Yet when persuaded to understand, we'll say "Why should I study about your religion?". I believe such continuing ignorance and blind arrogance are obstacles to religious harmony.
What do you think? By the way, I expect mature feedback.
