And if the man does not wish to take his brother's wife then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate of the elders, and say, "My husband's brother refuses to perpetuate his brother's name in Israel.. Then the elders of his city shall call him.

And if he persists.. Then his brother's wife shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, and pull his sandal off his foot, and spit in his face; and shall answer and say: So it shall be done to the man who does not build up his brother's house. And the name of his house shall be called in Israel THE HOUSE OF HIM THAT HAD HIS SANDAL PULLED OFF.

i just started an spamish emerson class and it is litteraly the beginning class and the secound day. to give some back ground i am half mexican but never learn spanish (father was more concerned with him learning english) so through the years i learned jack quat and to make it harder my school took me out out language classes in 2nd grade and thus i dident graduate with a language class which the state required. so here i am at 20 trying to learn a language i have been around all my life but cant seem to pick up.

could you give me advice?

this class and any other time i try and learn is truely a pain in the butt! i get a blank mind or my head hurts, literaly, the same with math. why cant i learn this stuff?! also if needed i have tried 3 or 4 programs (2 computer and one audio casset) and only know what cair is in spanish...

There is a greeting around the East Midlands of the UK (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire etc) which is "Ey up me duck". Basically this means "Hello mate". or "Hello my dear". What is the origin of this phrase and in particular, why is "duck" used for "mate" or "dear"? This has been puzzling me for a long time!

If an Atheist is faced with death, would they die willingly or will they ber for their lives. Does life really matter to an Atheist. Can you explain this to me? Why it is that all of a suddenly we have Christians trying to tell (demand?) us atheists that atheism is a religion...then at the same time *some of them turn around and say that "Christianity isn't a religion!" What are *some trying to pull?

Alright, i really dont have anything against black people as a whole.In fact, i have black friends, but this problem reoccurs so much. When i get on the bus, the black girls on the bus talk and laugh so ******* loudly, that i HAVE to turn on my volume to max. In the daytime, when i ride home, i sit with my friend, who is very large (not fat, its a combinations of muscle and just sheer height), i hardly have enough room to sit my *** on with jsut us two, and a girl asks to sit there, so i say that there isnt enough room. As if she were deaf, the black girl across the isle says she can move over because she is holding her cheerleading stuff. I say i dont have enough room.She gives me an exasperated look and tells me in a annoying way, "you are SO RUDE!" and schooches over. I then exclaim, "LOOK AT THIS HUGE *** WHITE GUY NEXT TO ME!! I CANT SCOOT OVER! So ironic that she knows what rude is, when she and her friends talk as if they are half deaf

I do believe in God, but I am not held down to the book like many of you are. Can you explain to me how for instance : an unknown tribe in ....South Africa...who has never had the chance to learn of Jesus, be sent to hell for not accepting Jesus as their saviour? Great people, just never been taught anything of Jesus. That's not fair, they would never have had the chance. I think that would be unjust, and I think you get in heaven by his grace, not by your acceptance of his death on the cross.

OK, so I'm sick and tired of this religion. The reason I'm saying this is because I'm very much involved in the occult, and as such get thrown in with this lot of self-righteous wannabe witches. I'm tired of hearing that Wicca is 'an old, pre-Christian religion.' It isn't. It was founded no earlier than 1954, so it is not 'the Old Religion.' The pentagram has nothing to do with Wicca. It's been around thousands of years before people made this up. So all you cutesy little Goth teens, please stop it. You're making pagan tradition look trendy.
