Many people react negatively to the fact that there is no one who can save us except Jesus. Yet this is not something the church decided on its own; it is the specific teaching of Jesus Himself. (John 14 v 6). God designated Jesus to be the Saviour of the world. No other religious teacher came to earth as God's only Son; no other religious teacher died for our sin and was raised from the dead. The only way to gain a relationship with God is through Jesus Christ.

That is what Christianity would have you believe but all of that dogma was perpetuated by a bunch of old men in powdered wigs aroung the 12th century. In the Bible, never once did Jesus proclaim that if you did not believe in him that you would go to hell. And you do not need Jesus or any other intermediary to have a relationship with the Divine Master or God if that is what you want to call him. And as far as heaven goes, that is a mythical place where we would go if we were good and repented.
When Jesus said that the only way to the Kingdom of God (Heaven) was to be reborn again, he meant it literally. He was referring to the soul's rebirth (reincarnation) of which happens an unknown if not infinite number of times before you have reached the end of the soul's current evolutionary cycle. That may be one reason people react in a negative fashion when you say that no one can save us but Jesus, because they know that is a fable.

When it comes to religion and the bible I for one cannot and will not take what is written for face value, because the bible has been alterd over the centuries by mans hand. So the original text of the bible is not the same as it was written by the voice of the creator. There are way to many unanswered questions that the bible leaves open. I have spent most of my life asking these questions and I have found few answers. I do however believe that Jesus did walk on this earth and i do believe that he had many gifts, however i do not believe that he was the only physical representation of the creator of the earth and the universe because we are all physical representations of the universe, If you really think about it. The answers that lie beyond death no one can truly answer because in order to find those answers you of course have to physically die.

Jesus' message was dramatically misinterpreted and changed and put into the bible. We have 4 gospels that literally represented the most popular version of Jesus' message; after they were selected, all the other competing interpretations were dismissed and branded as heresy (e.g. check out the gnostic gospels). And then Paul (Saul of Tarsus) takes it upon himself to decide matters of theology and belief; he never even met Jesus! And yet we get his letters to early christian communities (letters to romans, etc.) included in the bible! Many religions have the same claim -- that their icon said he/she is the only way. It's either a claim to the group's specialness (common dynamic) or, more subtly, a misinterpretation of a non-dualistic [there is no self as opposed to other] spiritual experience where the experiencer (Jesus, in this case) comes back and tries to convey the concept of non-duality (and this is why it's not a contradiction to say jesus and buddha and are all the one and only way -- difficult to grasp from a dualistic perspective).

Jesus said, I am the way... no man cometh to the Father but by me. All roads may lead to Rome but none of the roads to Rome lead to heaven. Jesus is God's only provided way and the heaven you speak of is the third heaven.

So Christ said to follow Christ and you will be rewarded? Well then it must be true!

Yeah, so really, you can prove this to be a "fact" or even remotely "true"?

Nope.
