What do you think heaven will be like?? Is there really an afterlife? Will we ever see those we love again? When we get there, how will we appear? Will we still love all of the same people that we did before? Why or why not?

I don't think we can even begin to grasp how perfect heaven will be. Even if we think of the most beautiful, comforting, stress free place , it would be a garbage pile compared to what heaven will be. We will be perfect in body, mind & soul. We will see all those who have passed away who were belivers and fellowship with them forever & ever & ever &
so on.

Non-existent.

The concept of an afterlife is founded on the existence of a 'soul'. What exactly do you think a soul is? What properties does it have? What part of 'you' resides in the soul?

If it's postulated that consciousness, or awareness, or sense of self resides in the soul, it's difficult to see how this can be reconciled with the complete oblivion which accompanies general anaesthesia. How could a straightforward chemical, injected into the bloodstream, anaesthetise a soul so that it effectively ceases to exist during this time? If consciousness, in the form of a soul, were some kind of supernatural faculty, it would seem implausible that it could be completely disabled by a chemical.

How about some of the other things which we regard as essential parts of what makes a person what they are? How about love, compassion, reason, empathy, memory, conscious thought, character, 'spirituality' and so on? Well, there is really no plausible doubt that all these things are properties of the physical brain. We can alter all of these properties very simply with alcohol or other drugs, and observe how they change in people who have suffered significant brain damage - Previously placid people become uncontrollably violent, intelligent people become imbeciles, and so on. Stimulate the brain artificially, and the subject reports corresponding mental activity, e.g. 'religious experiences'. We can see from brain research that all these things - thought, emotion, sensation, character traits and so on - are correlated with activity in the brain, and some things can be identified with specific areas of the brain.

So, if all these faculties and characteristics of what we regard as the 'person' reside in the physical brain, as seems to be undeniably the case, and they all cease when the person dies, then what is left to be attributed to a 'soul'? As far as I can ascertain: Nothing. If there is no part of us that can continue after death, then there is no 'afterlife'... and if there is no afterlife, then most of religion is null and void.

The Bible doesn't really describe heaven, except in some visions in prophecies. So I barely have any idea what it will be like. When I think of it, I think of all the angels doing their work and then sometimes God will call them all to one spot to assign them something. And the cherubs are the smallest ones, and the seraphs are like monks. I've never thought of what the environment would look like, but maybe it won't "look" like anything. Maybe you don't have the five senses of a human, maybe things are perceived and nothing more. Does time even pass by in heaven, the way it does for physical humans? Who knows. I've never been there, so I can't even begin to imagine it. I'd just confuse myself.

Heaven is like going HOME after being gone so long, you forgot you left.
The key is, God doesn't forget anyone.

There are over 13 million people that have been documented "dead" and returned to their bodies.

Death is not an end to WHO you are; it's just an end to WHAT you are in.

God is Truth, Love, Joy, Light....

Do you remember the 2nd day of 2nd grade at 2o'clock? No?
Does that mean it didn't happen? No?
Well then, do you suppose you could have forgotten WHERE you came from? Maybe?

You'll know it when you experience it.
Blessings!

Amazing...no earthly words can describe! The half has never yet been told. Our loved ones and friends who were saved through Christ's blood will be there. I have no idea how we will appear, but I believe we will absolutely recognize all the same people. Love...we will all have a perfect love. We'll love everyone there. Sometimes here on earth we love one more than another but there it will be perfect love. God will be there and over there everyone will be happy. Wow...I have glory bumps just thinking about what awaits us on that golden shore.

The word Heaven or Xhennet in arabic, means Garden. There is one garden that God Most Gracious, Most Mercifull, bestows to each righteous soul who during the life on earth, did not forget God, believed in God, believed in the books revealed, in the messengers, practiced regular prayer, did not worship any made objects, gave rregular charity, guarded from evil, done righteous deeds. ( eaven to those who have done sin but then repented).
Beneath the garden, rivers fllow and in it there are all sort of green, fruit, in pairs and nothing decays. There are ready built Mansions and you will get whatever your soul desires. But the most beautifull of them is the nearness of God Allmighty and the witness and enjoyment of the Universal Glory ,who each day, in different splendour he shines. There will be companions good and beautifull, guarded like precious pearls, which neither men nor jinn have touched before. And as for your question whether you will be able to know your family and loved ones, if all of you have obeyed gods law, and all desire to be together hereafter, it will be granted to you.
There will be no more death, fatigue, threat or any thing evil exept the word Peace, As evil will be rooted in the Judgement day and all evil will abide in Hell, punished with no dicrease of punishment for ever. Therein, will only be for drink a boiling liquid, murqy dark gray and for eating, there is only one tree, whose fruits will neither nourish or feed hunger, but there will not be enough of it for everyone. and the sinners will allways be in forellocks drawn to fire, which will be the fuel of the fire and this fire is spread like a carpet underneath and bellow.

Wow! Imagine just having a sip of boiling water, let alone drinking it for eternity.

So, which of the favours of our lord, will we deny?

Heaven will be the most beautiful place you can possibly imagine. No pain, no one to hurt you, your loved ones will be there if they had been saved prior to their passing. I will be able to see my husband again. And the best thing is that when you go to heaven you will be with Jesus.
